A native of Northern Virginia, Dr. Malhotra attended Flint Hill School, where she played varsity tennis. She then received her Bachelor of Science at The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, before obtaining her medical degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

Following medical school, Dr. Malhotra completed three years of surgical residency at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Throughout her training, Dr. Malhotra was blessed to work under the mentorship of several world-renowned physicians in the fields of podiatric, orthopaedic, vascular, and plastic surgery.

Dr. Malhotra is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. She is also an associate member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and an associate member of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. She is also board-qualified by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery. 

An active American Podiatric Medical Association member, Dr. Malhotra has authored many professional journals, including the Clinics in Podiatric Medicine & Surgery.
