Carl Jean, DPM, FACFAS from The Foot Specialty Practice in the Kings County of Brooklyn, New York, has been practicing podiatry since 2000. He always knew he wanted to be a doctor but chose podiatry due to the vast opportunities that this specialty afforded.

During his time in podiatry school, Dr. Shalot served as president of the Student Chapter of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and as president of the NYCPM Student Organization. Dr. Yi then began his surgical training at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. He was selected to serve as Chief Resident during his final year and graduated with credentials from the Council of Podiatric Medical Education (CPME) to perform reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery.
