Awesome experience!! Dr. Tse and his assistant have communicated with me in an excellent way that has motivated me like I’ve never been motivated before to lose weight/get healthy/lose my belly and live longer. It’s a new lifestShow moreyle & once I get down to the desired weight , which I’m still working on, and I’ve already lost 30 pounds & will lose another 25 to 30 pounds… and I am determined to not gaining it back and maintaining a weight between 200-215 pounds… after starting 2023 at 260 pounds. I feel a sense of control and feel like it’s within my power to do this with a new mindset… Reprogramming the brain is what doctor Tse is teaching me, and how eating can be a habit versus necessity I look forward to reaching my goals with the help of Dr. Tse and his assistant that has been crucial to my mindset and determination!! Miss Kelly Johnson was very attentive to my condition and she listened to what I had to say; she gave me advice on my condition and ordered a prescription for for stomach flu (which I probably had for 3-4 days) for me to take. I wShow moreas not able to get that on my way home, but today will do so. She gave me lots of time and so I was comfortable speaking to her. She projects compassion and comfort so I felt much better even though I had not done anything new. I forgot her instructions when I left the office, and she quickly responded to my inquiry and I heard from Kate and I felt better last night and was not sick again.
Alex Tse, MD, is a board-certified obesity medicine specialist. He brings over 40 years of medical experience to the Generations Family Practice team located in Cary, North Carolina, where he uses that experience to provide high-quality care to his patients. Dr. Tse is also the Chief Medical Officer of Cary Medical Management, located in Cary, North Carolina.
He graduated from the University of Hong Kong Medical School. Dr. Tse then completed his residency and fellowship training at the New Jersey Medical College of Medicine & Dentistry and Children’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. He has training in Allergy and Immunology from Boston Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Tse created the Healthy Longevity Program at Generations Family Practice, which works to transform the lives of diabetic and obese patients. The program supports and monitors patients on medically prescribed low-carb diets for the management of chronic conditions with inflammation such as diabetes. The program’s goal is to reduce inflammation through diet resulting in the ability to reduce or eliminate the need for medications or insulin.
Although Dr. Tse primarily focuses on diabetes, his program also benefits patients with obesity, hypertension, PCOS, epilepsy, neurological diseases such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol, and mood disorders.
Dr. Tse is an active member of the Obesity Medical Association, the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, the American Medical Association, the NC Medical Society, the NC Pediatric Society, and an expert medical case reviewer for the NC Center for Medical Excellence.

Dr Tse gets to the point. I’ve lost almost 30lbs in 2 months . I haven’t been this weight in over 5 years! He’s explained how sugar causes inflammation which kills cells. I’m excited and motivated to keep my sugar intake low and hope to reverse my diabetes.

Dr. Romano Is a wonderful physician. She listen to my story of complex health issues. She ordered bloodwork and found my immunity was low. I was referred to an Immunologist and a hematologist for my chronic abdominal bruising. My immunity turned out to be very low and infusions have been ordered to help me. I had seen several providers at Generations, she was the only one to pick up on my reoccurant infections. Thank you Dr. Romano you will be very missed!!!
Dr Romano is very attentive. She listens and addresses your needs. I very sorry she is leaving the practice. Appears there is not another female Dr at the practice. I may need to look elsewhere
