About Alison Whitty

Allison was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education and Promotion from Oklahoma State University (go Pokes!). During her undergraduate studies, she completed an internship at a hospital health club in Tulsa where she got to contribute to the developing bariatrics program and design exercise routines. She has experience in peer health education, physical therapy, exercise science, and disease intervention.

Allison chose to go into healthcare because she loves to help people and solve problems. She believes the most important role of healthcare providers is to prevent chronic diseases through patient education. She takes a holistic approach toward health by measuring wellness in all dimensions including occupational, environmental, social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and physical.

In her free time, Allison enjoys spending time with her loved ones and dogs, crafting, cooking, watching crime dramas, and cheering on the OSU Cowboys. She is new to the Houston area but already feels at home here.
