About Dr Amy Ross, DPM

Dr. Amy Ross is a foot and ankle specialist and an associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She is a graduate of the University of Nevada Reno and obtained her professional degree at Des Moines University in Iowa. Her residency training was completed in podiatric medicine and surgery with reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery at Creighton University in Phoenix which included the county hospital and many clinic and outpatient facilities across the Valley encompassing both elective and trauma surgical cases. It is critical for foot and ankle specialists to have a thorough understanding of the biomechanical evaluation in the workup and treatment of patients. Dr. Ross finished her residency with the highest volume of these evaluations in the history of her program. She has a broad range of exposure to different forefoot, rearfoot and ankle pathology as well as to diverse patient populations. Her focus includes sports medicine, soft tissue, tendon and ligament repair and forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction.

Dr. Ross is sensitive and attuned to her patient’s questions and needs. Coming from a background of Korean and American heritage, she understands the importance of taking the time to educate and provide the appropriate treatment for foot and ankle conditions, making sure to exhaust conservative treatment options prior to pursuing surgical intervention for each individual when applicable.

Dr. Ross enjoys a wide range of music genres and can often be found with a tune on nearby. Additionally, playing the piano, baking desserts and traveling keep her busy after she is done with work and caring for her patients. A good book and quality time with family and pets is one of her favorite activities during the weekend.
