I first saw Dr. Knesek in 2019 to discuss removal of a 9 year titanium plate in my left ankle and to examine my knees. I was having pain issues down into the peroneous longus of the left calf where the titanium plate was placed.Show more I decided to focus on my knees as it seemed to be the better choice. I thought I would be back to have the plate removed shortly thereafter. Further health restraints prevented that.... I then saw him in Dec. 2022 to get what was now 13 year titanium plate removed as it was causing more pain and issues into the knee on that side. My surgery would not have taken place if it hadn't been for Dr. Knesek's clerical and nursing assistant staff. There were time constraints and they did everything to make it go smoothly in transition. Thank you again. The day of the surgery the staff were kind, caring, and did wverything to make sure things went close to schedule as tgey could. They followed every surgical and nonsurgical protocols for keeping me surgically sterile and safe during the procedure as well as themselves. Dr. Knesek came in to see me preop., and everything was explained re surgery. The one thing I really appreciated was the professionalism and caring attitude and skill of the anesthesiologist. I was told I had to have two nerve blocks. I had never had nerve blocks before surgery. One took and the other didn't because I couldn't tolerate it. The procedure was not pushed because they had to get 20 shots into my adductor grp. On the inside of my thigh...It just meant they had to put more pain meds. Into i.v.; and that was ok. The nurses were very compassionate as well during this procedure. I was very lucky and fortunate to have Dr. Knesek agree to take out this plate and the screws after 13 years from when the original surgery had been done by another surgeon out of country. There are not too many surgeons who are confident enough and skilled enough to touch someone else's surgery. I would be happy to reccommend Dr. Knesek and his staff again... Be warned, it is a busy practice and sometimes you are on hold for a long time but it is worth the wait.. Be patient and you can feel safe and secure that you will get the best care he can offer you..
From the moment I walked into the hospital and to the moment I walked out, the nursing staff, all the doctors, the joint therapy staff, the recovery personnel did a top notch operation. Dr. Knesek is a great surgeon who is straighShow moret up and won’t steer you wrong. He will try new medicine techniques and PT before he has to decide to using surgery. He replaced my left knee replacement last year. November 18 this year he replaced the right knee. I let it go too long on taking care of my knees. One of the reasons because there are a lot of other great surgeons out there to choose from the input you get from other patients. I wasn’t sure about Dr. Knesek at first. My sister-in-law had Dr. Knesek operate on her shoulder. She was pleased with the results. The rest is history with me. I’ve been around a long time and I know a lot of people, they trust me. People have asked me about my surgeries with Dr. Knesek and I gave a couple of referrals, some called him, some didn’t. Some people question this new technique, we are not educated about this out here, just so you know. Time will get better. I would like to give kudos to Dr. Knesek’s office staff, that are at the same time professional and personal. I usually don’t blow a lot of smoke. Not all hospital visits and surgeries go as plan. I was very fortunate that mine did.

Was not able to read the X-ray, stated if he didn't have surgery that he would be in pain - not true. Tried to tell him he was very high risk for surgery.

I really liked him, scheduled my carpal tunnel surgery!
I've been coming to Northpoint for my knees for a few years now. Recently I was diagnosed with arthritis in my neck. Dr. McComis got me started on therapy this week. I had my first 2 appointments ever in the therapy department. John Gino is wonderful. He is kind and patient - very easy to talk to and clearly explains the therapy routines to me, so that I can work on the exercises at home.
Great doctor, organized office staff and convenient facility
He was professional and knowledgeable throughout the entire appointment. He answered all my questions honestly. Truly an excellent MD.
Called to exam room fast, actually before my appointment time, took x-rays quickly. And left with diagnosis and prescribed meds.
