987 days. For the last 987 days (Sept 20, 2018-June 3, 2021), I have been under the continuous care of Dr. Burton Elrod and his team and Elite Sports Medicine and Orthopedics. I first want to say that Elite is more than their nameShow more, it describes the care and experience you will receive at their facilities. After 987 days, 3 surgeries, 4 MRIs, 3-4 rounds of lubricant injections in my knee, a stem cell injection, dozens of x-rays, dozens of follow-up appointments, TOO many to count packs of steriods, thousands of miles driven to and from Nashville and Franklin, several thousands of dollars, and 3 tshirts later, Dr. Elrod said I've had more than my fair share's worth, told me to "go kick butt," and has released me from care. Dr. Burton Elrod and his staff are WONDERFUL !!!! In 2020, Dr. Elrod performed surgery on both of my knees. I was able to regain 100% range of motion in both knees. I am very pleased with my knee surgery. This May, 2021, he Show moreperformed surgery on my left shoulder. I am currently in physical therapy and I am regaining my range of motion. Dr. Elrod is a very personable doctor. He takes time to answer all my questions. It is very obvious that he cares about his patients. His staff are the best. Walked into my appointment thinking surgery was my only option for Grade IV cartilage damage in my knee, and walked out with new hope and a rehab plan that didn’t involve surgery or any extensive recovery! Super excited to continue working with Dr. Elrod, I can tell he really knows what he’s doing and I’m confident I’m in good hands.
