About Dr. Chukwudum Uche, MD

About Dr. Uche

Board-certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases, Chukwudum Uche, MD, FIDSA, FACP, joined the team at Infectious Disease Associates & Travel Medicine Clinic in January 2013. He proudly identifies with the practice’s values, providing compassionate, comprehensive infectious disease care for patients in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

Dr. Uche earned his medical degree from the University of Benin in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. He then moved to the United States to complete his internship in internal medicine at the John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, Illinois, followed by his internal medicine residency at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, New York. Afterward, he completed his fellowship in infectious diseases at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

At Infectious Disease Associates & Travel Medicine Clinic, Dr. Uche specializes in HIV medicine, hepatitis, travel medicine, and infectious disease care. He is dedicated to providing top-quality inpatient and outpatient care. 

Prior to joining Infectious Disease Associates & Travel Medicine Clinic, Dr. Uche was the chairman of medicine at North Vista Hospital in North Las Vegas from 2012-2013. Dr. Uche has also been recognized for his outstanding care. He was selected to the “America's Best Physicians" registry in 2016 and has been named Top Doctor by Vegas Inc. from 2015-2019. 

Dr. Uche is affiliated with several hospitals in the Las Vegas area, including St. Rose San Martin Hospital, St. Rose Siena Hospital, Southern Hills Hospital, Spring Valley Hospital, and Health South Henderson. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, Infectious Disease Society of America, American Association of Physician Leadership, and Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas, and is a certified HIV specialist of the American Academy of HIV Medicine.
