This was my first time bringing my daughter to this pediatrician. The front desk was amazing and had my insurance and registration ready. The MA and nurses where great and friendly, and the provider as well, gave me great informatShow moreion. Everything was great until the very end at check out. The provider told me I could get my daughters school excused from the check out desk, the young lady did even great, looked at me with a nasty attitude and was like what do you need, and said I’m sorry they told me to get the doctor excuses from her, she has such a nasty attitude, and was breathing angry and horrible attitude when asking the spelling of my daughters names, seem she got more upset when she thought both my daughter had same last name and gave me a judgmental look when I told they didn’t have a same last name.
We moved here in June and couldn’t be happier with this practice to provide care for our three children. Dr. Wilkiemeyer is outstanding. She is personable, attentive, and takes her time to explain everything and address any questiShow moreons. The staff at the office is friendly and helpful. The practice is busy and the waiting room is always full, especially now that cold and flu season is in full swing, but regardless I am always able to get in for sick visits and the wait times are what you’d expect for a practice in a major city. I’ve also been able to contact Dr. Wilkiemeyer for questions about my infant in the middle of the night. As a mom, that piece of mind means everything. We are so appreciative and grateful to have found this practice.
Claire Wilkiemeyer, MD, brings more than a decade of experience in pediatrics to Old Fourth Ward Pediatrics, serving children and adolescents in Atlanta, Georgia, and throughout Fulton County.
Dr. Wilkiemeyer grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and began her professional education in Virginia, where she earned her undergraduate degree. After obtaining her diploma, Dr. Wilkiemeyer moved to New Orleans and enrolled at the Tulane University School of Medicine, where she obtained her Doctor of Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Wilkiemeyer completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
Dr. Wilkiemeyer is board certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In addition to diagnosing and treating common pediatric conditions, she specializes in parent education and helping her young patients make healthy choices.
In her spare time, you can find Dr. Wilkiemeyer spending time with her family on the Beltline and in Piedmont Park. She also enjoys gardening, running, and supporting local sports teams. Dr. Wilkiemeyer is awesome! My son is on the quiet side. She is very attentive and talks to him in a way that makes him comfortable so that he will talk. I love her interaction with the babies/kids as I can see her love in the work she does as a physician.
Claire Wilkiemeyer is a very patient and attentive doctor. She was gentle and loving with our babies. We felt safe and heard when she examined them. I really appreciate that because sometimes it's not so easy navigating the Healthcare system especially after giving birth.

During the visit she is thorough, knowledgable, informative, patient and has great communication skills. I feel very safe having her take care of my newborn son and I am in the medical field myself.

Old Fourth Ward is a pediatric facility. Not only were they my pediatrician, they were my 3 grown male children as well... I highly recommend Old Fourth Ward Pediatrics!
Nice women
I always have a good experience with these doctors, all of them are good, my kids have been going to them for years. They make you feel like family especially the nurses. I will continue to bring my kids here until they are 21.
I love Dr. Wilkiemeyer! She was so thorough, patient, informative, and interactive with connecting with my kids. The appointment went longer than anticipated however she never made me feel that she was rushing us. She was present!! I appreciate this

Great personality and works well with children. Especially my two boys whom she handled well as they were wrestling with each other as Dr. Claire tried tending to them. As an embarrassed parent still glad to have doctors like that.
The doctor explained everything to my grandson and me about what she was doing she was very knowledgeable and very easy to talk to.
