I love Dr. Phillips. He has great energy. He delivered my third baby and then I went to him 7 months postpartum to have surgery for a prolapse issue. I came away from surgery with wonderful results! I couldn't be happier with my cShow morehoice to be a patient of Dr. Phillips. When it came to delivering my third baby, Dr. Phillips asked me about my plans for pain management during labor. It was the first time I had a care provider ask me about my plans and expectations. When I shared with him how I wanted an epidural, but I did not like how past epidurals left me so numb I can't feel my legs and get leverage to push. He said....and it was so simple..."just tell the anesthesiologist your concerns and they can give you a lighter epidural." I had no idea this was a request I could make. I had no idea I could go "lighter" on my epidural. It was great. I did as Dr. Phillips said and the anesthesiologist was more than happy to help me out. He gave me a lighter epidural that took the edge off the pain, but allowed me to feel the urge to push and use my legs to gain leverage. Great experiences all around. I also love the staff at AAOBGYN as well as St. David's North. The nurses are amazing!
I loved Dr. Aguirre and his staff. They are wonderful! He is a great doctor. Really nice and super friendly. :) I am so glad I had him as my ob/gyn. He is very knowledgeable and understanding. He did a great job on my repeat c-secShow moretion and he came to visit me at the hospital every day that I was there. Avery is also super nice and an awesome assistant. She always greeted me and my older daughter with a smile and asked about my day. They made sure I was always comfortable. Dr. Aguirre's nurse Anna is also wonderful. She is super nice and would call me once in a while to check up on me. She always did a very good job explaining my lab results and made me feel comfortable about everything. Anything I needed I would call her and she always made sure to get back with me as soon as possible. They made me feel like they really cared about me and they did an amazing job helping me get through my pregnancy. Overall, I had a very good experience and I will miss coming in. If I ever have another baby I will make sure to have Dr. Aguirre again as my doctor. :) He is the best ob/gyn and I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to have a great doctor.
Dr. Esfandiari received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry and Spanish from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and was awarded a full academic scholarship. She spent two summers studying at Oxford University in England and received her medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where she was awarded the Martin Luther King Service Award for chairing a community health fair. She completed her residency training at Parkland Hospital where she was elected by her peers and faculty to serve as Chief Resident in her final year. Dr Esfandiari has a passion for service and has traveled to Mexico and Nicaragua to provide care for rural, underprivileged areas.
Dr. Esfandiari believes in taking the time to listen to her patients, addressing all concerns. She believes that communication is the key to building lifelong relationships with her patients, emphasizing care and compassion. She has recently "been on the other side" going through IVF and pregnancy herself and has a whole new perspective and empathy.
After several years of private practice experience in Dallas, she relocated to Austin to raise her family. In her free time she enjoys conversational Spanish, travel and looks forward to exploring the outdoors in Austin with husband, son, daughter and dog.

I feel heard by Dr. E and staff. Exams are gentle and the conversation during is always light and distracting, which I need. Dr. E is sharp, knowledgeable, and caring. Portal messages are always returned quickly which is awesome. Facility is clean, always busy and the wait is usually long (I'm always there a full hour) but it's worth it, and there's a Keurig machine so...

Dr. Esfandiari and her team are top tier. The level of care I am provided on my pregnancy journey is unmatched. They are responsive and efficient. I always feel listened to and cared about. The appointments are surprisingly fast, but I never feel rushed and always get an opportunity to ask questions or address concerns. If things come up in between appointments, random questions or concerns or even emergency matters, the nurse hotline and portal messages are answered very quickly and help put my mind at ease. I highly recommend Dr. Esfandiari and her entire team to any expecting mama.

Thorough and caring
I really appreciate that Dr. E never makes you feel rushed, answers questions thoroughly, and is just a really nice, fun person! OB annuals aren’t usually a thing women look forward to and I used to dread them with previous doctors, but she makes them as comfortable as possible and is very respectful and personable throughout.

Everyone at the office is super nice and attentive. I had to wait 25 minutes pass my appointment time, but I realized and appreciate the nature of the business. I still felt I received excellent care and attention. Thank you.
