It was my first time to visit Dr. Fred Williams. He had been recommended to me by people I trust, and I was not disappointed. Unlike other gastroenterologists, he was punctual, gracious, had a good listening ear, offered several pShow moreossibilities for my longstanding difficulty (which other doctors never addressed), ordered several tests (which made total sense to me because of his detailed, logical explanations—he's not "test happy"!), and for the *first time ever* offered me sound nutritional advice and a number of resources. No other "gastro guy" has done that! He answered every, single question, had the "patience of Job," so to speak, and had a pleasant personality, a sense of humor, and great bedside manner. I don't care how much a doctor knows if he is arrogant, rude, dismissive, or rushed. The wonderful recommendations that I received on Dr. W's behalf were affirmed. And his staff? They are world-class! Each was solicitous, detailed, and accommodating. All my upcoming appointments and tests were secured while I was *still* in the office, and not only did the nurse hand me a set of instructions, which she conveniently highlighted, but she read them upside down from her vantage point, and carefully explained them! What a feat! :) And the phlebotomist? She's worth her weight in gold. She drew my blood from hard-to-find veins with one, painless stick. Thus far, I can't recommend this medical practice enough. Dr. Williams and his team are the cream of the gastroenterological crop! Well done, Team! I hope to keep rooting for you. ~Lynn D. Morrissey
My experience was great, the front office prior to the actual event had a lot of issues. They sent me the initial paperwork with the date, time and doctor performing the procedure HIGHLIGHTED and it was all wrong - it said a dateShow more in 2014 and a doctor that has retired! I have to say that did not make me feel totally confident in the facility. Then they prescribed a $200 prep that the pharmacist was never able to see if my insurance would cover or not, after standing there for 15 minutes. I called and got a new prep for $0 and they said they would email instructions, to not follow the instructions on the box. That email never came so I called for a third time to get it. Everyone I saw on Thursday was awesome and I was totally at ease, but you need to take a look at your office people.
Gateway Gastroenterology is pleased to announce that Dr. Fred Williams will be the Medical Director of our latest addition--Gateway GI Research, LLC. This new research office will provide access for patients to participate in clinical trials close to where they live.
Dr. Williams will be engaged in selected patient care activities while working with pharmaceutical and medical equipment companies to integrate research into our practice. We are excited to introduce Gateway GI Research and Dr. Williams as its Medical Director.

Stuff is very friendly and very professional - great experience!
The F.N.P. I met with was very attentive and easy to talk too. A negative of the practice is the doctor I was going to left the practice and his customers were not informed. When I tried to see another doctor I was told it would be a three month wait. I guess there is always the emergency room if needed. I was happy that I was able to talk to Mrs.Aubuchon that only took a month to see her. I have now reestablished myself with another doctor in the group.
