About Dr. Hernan Pabon, MD

Hernan Pabon, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist at Sunset Neurological & Psychiatry Group in Miami, Florida. He takes a patient-centered approach to care and believes every unique patient ailment has an achievable solution.

After finishing medical school at Universidad Industrial de Santander Escuela de Medicina (UIS) in Bucaramanga, Santander, Colombia, Dr. Pabon relocated to the United States. He completed his pediatric internship at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College, in the Bronx, New York.

Dr. Pabon moved to Miami, Florida, to do his psychiatry residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital, a teaching hospital attached to the University of Miami’s Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. He continued his medical training, completing fellowships in addiction psychiatry and in pain management and anesthesiology at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Pabon is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the American Pain Society (AAPM), and the American Psychiatric Association (APA).

Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Pabon treats patients struggling with all kinds of mental health problems, including sleep disorders, depression, autism, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Dr. Pabon believes in building trust with his patients. He works to help them feel comfortable enough to share their concerns so that he can provide the most effective care.
