My name is Imani Johnson. I am currently finishing up my Master’s degree at New York University in the Mental Health and Wellness program. My approach to mental health care is rooted in a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by underrepresented communities, especially the B.I.P.O.C. population. As a Black woman and mental health advocate, I am passionate about creating inclusive, affirming spaces that acknowledge the lived experiences of those impacted by systemic inequities, generational trauma, and cultural stigma surrounding mental health. I strive to meet clients where they are, with empathy, cultural humility, and a strengths-based perspective that empowers individuals to reclaim their narratives and foster lasting emotional wellness.
