Hard to locate cause the main office doesn’t outright say what the name of the office is called. So locating it was a bit off. They gave all the landmarks but NOT the name of the office itself to go into. So we basically drove aroShow moreund the area until finding finally the names on the window which don’t really stand out much. Front desk lady was okay. She wasn’t overly nice nor overly rude and when wishing her a Merry Christmas that didn’t go over too well. The front area is dull and needs fixing up to look like a nicer office. Maybe staff could offer coffee area to those who enter. Now, here’s the good part of the entire experience. Dr. Josh Mark I appreciate your consultation. You seemed to be sincerely Polite, Caring, and a Good listener. You spoke well and didn’t make anything overly complicated. You made me feel like you really wanted to help me get better and if you couldn’t you’d send me to someone you know who could. Thank you Dr.Mark for making my experience better.
Dr. Mark, is without a doubt, the most compassionate, caring and knowledgeable doctor I have ever had. He is genuinely concerned about the health of his patients. We both decided I do need a surgery. I shared my concern of surShow moregery, anxiety and getting a second opinion. His biggest concern was for me to choose the doctor I felt the most comfortable with; therefore, helping a great deal with the anxiety. I think the final thing that impresses me with Dr Mark is HE walks back to the receptionist with his new orders! With us seniors, we haven’t seen that since the 50s or 60s. Anyone who needs a specialist in surgery, I assure Dr Mark should be highly considered.
Dr. Joshua Mark is the newest member of Rockwall Surgical Specialists, joining in 2020. He offers a broad array of surgical interventions to his patients in Forney and Rowlett, Texas, including weight loss surgery, hernia repair, gastro-esophageal reflux surgery, colorectal surgery, gallbladder surgery, and many others. He specializes in minimally invasive techniques, including advanced robotic and laparoscopic surgery.
Dr. Mark received his undergraduate training at the University of Kansas, majoring in Spanish. While living abroad, he completed an advanced course in Medical Spanish and can speak Spanish fluently. He attended medical school at the University of Kansas before making his way to Dallas, Texas, to complete a general surgical residency at Baylor University Medical Center. His broad training experience in the DFW area afforded him the opportunity to care for and better understand the needs of a diverse patient population.
Throughout his training, he received numerous awards and honors, including Intern of the Year, and completed multiple publications in the field of trauma and acute care surgery. He also attended multiple advanced robotics training courses to further his abilities as a minimally invasive surgeon.
In his free time, Dr. Mark enjoys spending time with his wife, Katelyn, and his children, Olivia and Ryland. He also is passionate about cooking, woodworking and spending time outdoors.
