About Kelsey Mcdonald, FNP-BC

Kelsey is an ANCC Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Detroit Mercy. Kelsey graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2014 and went on to her nursing career as an Emergency Room Nurse at a level 2 trauma center for 6 years. It was there she gained much of her nursing experience and knowledge to move on to becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner graduating in April of 2020, which was the onset of the COVID pandemic. During her 2.5 years at Emcura, Kelsey has become our IV specialist, supervising our new IV program, taking courses to ensure our practices are the most up-to-date, and has a gentle approach to making the IV experience comfortable. She also provides excellent patient care, especially for some of our most critical urgent care patients. She maintains a calm and thorough approach to ensuring our patients are seen and heard. She truly is passionate about what she does and always wants to make patients feel confident in their treatment plans. Kelsey enjoys taking care of pediatric patients as she has 2 small children of her own. When Kelsey is not chasing her two kids at home, she enjoys being on the water, vacationing up north, and working out.
