About Dr. Lora Friedrich, MSW, PhD

Maybe you are grieving the loss of a loved one, bogged down by a traumatic experience, or you’re simply tired of being tired. Perhaps you feel your family is dysfunctional and you wish you could just get along. Or do you feel like this cycle of unhappiness and pain has gone on for so long that you forgot who you truly are? I want to assure you that this is temporary – your issues do not define you. I am passionate about working with people who are willing to make a change. Healing is not always an easy or quick process, but it is so worth it. As your therapist, I will support you to help you reach your goals to the best of your abilities. I have a deep level of understanding and compassion for clients facing a variety of situation. I was in the Peace Corps, I worked with families in Child Protective Services, I worked in Thailand on anti-trafficking, and I was a professor of sociology and social work.
