About Dr. Megan Cheney, MD

Dr. Cheney is thrilled to offer a full spectrum of obstetric and gynecologic care to her patients. Her professional interests include contraception, routine and high risk obstetrics, and surgical management of abnormal uterine bleeding.

Dr. Cheney was drawn to the field of OB/GYN because she is able to provide compassionate care for women throughout all stages of their lives. She enjoys the field’s unique blend of medical and surgical management options. She strives to care for each patient as an individual and work together to address their medical problems so that they may go on to live their healthiest lives.

Dr. Cheney earned her Bachelor of Science at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.; continued her education at Georgetown School of Medicine; and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at MedStar Washington Hospital/Georgetown University, where she served as chief resident.

As an Albany native, Dr. Cheney is excited to return home and to provide care for the women of her hometown.
