About Meredith Adams

Meredith Adams, MS, LPC, LCPC, NBCCH, is a sensitive and attentive mental health counselor at Northern Virginia Psychiatric Group in Fairfax, Virginia.

She has several years of experience treating mental health disorders and specializes in anxiety disorders, depression, trauma disorders, grief, and ADHD. Meredith is licensed in both Virginia and Maryland.

Ms. Adams graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2021 with her Master’s of Science in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling. She also attended the University of Florida for her bachelor’s degree and is an avid gators fan.

Meredith offers client-centered counseling mixed with positive psychology, mindfulness components, along with a strengths-based, solution-focused perspective. Additionally, Meredith also offers hypnotherapy services as she is nationally board certified in clinical hypnosis. She believes that there is no one size fits all approach to treating mental health issues and strives to meet clients where they are at. Ms. Adams is passionate about working with clients ages 16 and up.

In her free time, Meredith enjoys writing mental health related articles for the Fairfax Times, spending time with friends and family, and exploring new cuisines.
