Becoming aware of our deeply held emotions for the purpose of healing can pave the path to restore a sense of calm and inner balance. Resilience isn’t about never being angry, sad, fearful or guilty. It is about knowing how to respond appropriately. Well-honed interpersonal skills are necessary to maintain social ties and fundamental to emotional literacy. When we feel disconnected from our true selves and people around us, an empathically attuned therapist can provide the safe environment we need to reconnect with our own inner wisdom and well-being.
Since earning her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Art Therapy from Notre Dame De Namur University Nazanin has worked in a wide array of settings including mental health organizations, community based clinics and different school districts. She is skilled at working with sexual assault survivors, trauma, eating disorders, depression, stress and anxiety. As a holistic therapist she views emotional health through the lenses of mind, body and spirit. She also uses expressive art therapy, EFT, EMDR and mindfulness approaches to work on multiple levels of healing.
