I have lived in Scottsdale, AZ. For 35 years and have gone to this office for 35 years. First seeing Ingrid Haas until she retired. Then Dr Rachel Spieldoch took over the practice. I was pleasantly surprised she went to the UniveShow morersity of Wisconsin and I’m from Wisconsin. I instantly felt confident in her being my gynecologist as the UW saved my daughters life and they do a lot of research and only the best of the best graduate from the UW. I only have the best recommendation if you need a gynecologist or need women’s surgical treatment that you see Dr Spieldoch. I have had a very rough year and Dr Spieldoch and her staff have been there for me every step of the way Her whole office staff are very helpful and efficient in helping with your every need. I feel so blessed that we have Dr Spieldoch so close to us here in Scottsdale. They offer other cosmetic services in the office also. She truly cares about me, and my health. Rachel Spieldoch, MD, is a board-certified gynecologist at McDowell Mountain Gynecology in Scottsdale, Arizona. Dr. Spieldoch specializes in minimally invasive surgery, including advanced laparoscopic surgery, robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery, and vaginal and pelvic floor reconstructive surgery. She has been recognized for her expertise in daVinci® robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery and has completed Advanced Masters training. She is proud to be a Center of Excellence Physician (COEMIG).
Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, she completed her medical school training at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She then completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she received specialized training in minimally invasive laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery.
Dr. Spieldoch remains current with new advances in gynecology and continuing medical education. Dr. Spieldoch is an active member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the American Medical Association, as well as the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Spieldoch has published several articles within the medical sciences and has presented her research at the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology national meeting. Additionally, she spent time practicing medicine with the Indian Health Services on an Apache reservation in Whiteriver, Arizona. Currently, she is active in the community as an educational speaker advocating minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Additionally, she is an active contributor to both the robotics community as well as the Center of Excellence for Minimally Invasive Surgery at HonorHealth. As one of the most experienced robotic surgeons for benign gynecologic disease in the Phoenix area, Dr. Spieldoch strongly believes that minimally invasive surgery offers better outcomes for patients.
Dr. Spieldoch is the vice president of the Phoenix OBGYN society and co-manages the Women’s Leadership and surgery committees at HonorHealth Scottsdale Shea Medical Center, working hard to improve women’s health care, patient surgical costs, and surgical outcomes.
In her free time, Dr. Spieldoch values quality time with her family and two boys: Luca and Ashton. She enjoys many athletic activities, including yoga, biking, skiing, and hiking. Dr. Spieldoch is an animal lover and has a soft spot for elephant wildlife, which she donates to annually. She also donates to The National Parks Conservation Association, World Wildlife Fund, and Florence Crittenton.
