About Roy Wilson, APRN

Through active listening and thoughtfulness, my primary duty is prescribing medication for psychiatric illness. I have experience in managing most mental health disorders and currently practice with Katie's Way in Manhattan on Saturdays via televideo. I started as a psychiatric RN on the inpatient units at the Topeka VA hospital. After becoming certified as a PMHNP, I worked for Pawnee Mental Health Services in Junction City, KS. I then went into private practice fulltime, doing business as Pinnacle Behavioral Health LLC. Currently, in addition to working with Katie's Way, I am the attending provider for the residential Stress Disorders Treatment Program at Colmery-O'Neal VA Medical Center. I live in Topeka with my 3 children, 1 dog, and 2 cats. I enjoy fishing, hiking, and reading. Since 2017, I have tried to keep up a regular practice of TM meditation.

Roy was very receptive to my concerns, address any questions I had and very personable. This was my first visit with him and was a little sceptical about it and him. But to my surprise it was very easy and he made me feel like I had known him for awhile. I really believe I have a good match with him.
