About Dr. Torre Rhoades, MD

Dr. Torre H. Rhoades specializes in urology, with a focus on urologic oncologic surgery, a skill set that is embraced by only a select group of urologists in Arizona.

Dr. Rhoades joined Arizona Center for Cancer Care in 2010. He attended the University of New Mexico before earning early admittance to medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, where he was also vice president of the American Medical Student Association. Dr. Rhoades also completed his residency at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, where he would eventually serve as chief resident. While in residency, Dr. Rhoades was recognized for his outstanding laparoscopic and robotic skills, and he was given the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Resident Achievement Award. He completed his fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic at Florida in Urologic Oncology.

Dr. Rhoades is an expert with robotics and laparoscopy, and uniquely offers Continent Diversions (NeoBladders) for patients requiring radical cystectomy for muscle invasive bladder cancer. In addition to complex cancer surgery, Dr. Rhoades is well respected for his skills as a General Urologist. Dr. Rhoades is certified to perform Endocare-cryotherapy for prostate and kidney cancers as well as certified to apply treatment technologies using the da Vinci Surgical System, Advanced Male Sling System and Greenlight PVP Laser System, respectively.

Dr. Rhoades has been published in American Surgeon, the Journal of Urology and British Journal of Hematology, among others. He is a member of the Society of Urologic Oncology, Endourological Society and American Urological Association.
