About Whitney Himes, NP

Whitney Himes, NP, is a nurse practitioner at Leading MDs, a primary care practice with locations in Mesa, Goodyear, and Tempe, Arizona. 

Whitney started her nursing career in 2014 when she enrolled in Mesa Community College (MCC). She graduated from MCC’s nursing program with a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University (ASU) simultaneously. It was during her clinical rotations through MCC that she discovered her true passion for caring for others.

Whitney graduated nursing school in 2016 and started her nursing journey on a neuro/tele unit where her passions grew. She found herself training and mentoring new nurses before moving on to work in the ICU at Banner Gateway. During her time as a nurse in the ICU, she pursued a master’s in nursing (family nurse practitioner) through the University of Phoenix.

When Whitney is not working, she enjoys spending her time traveling, camping, and four-wheeling with her husband and two daughters. 

Whitney looks forward to welcoming new and returning patients to Leading MDs.
