My visit with Dr. Tidmore was very pleasant from beginning to end. Office personnel was polite and helpful, the wait was reasonable, and Dr. Tidmore was warm and friendly, as well as very professional and knowlegable. He listened Show moreto my concerns and immediately responded with a diagnosis and information as to recommendations and treatment. I left his office satisfied that he had provided the help and information that I needed in order to live as healthy a life as possible. He also assured me that if I needed any more help or support, that he was happy to help. I would be glad to see him again if my condition required professional assistance. I gladly give Dr. Tidmore FIVE stars!
Today was different. I felt very judged and discriminated against! I was unable to make my full co pay and I was told I had to set up some type of automatic payment to be seen BUT A patient came behind me without their co pay of Show morea different race and was told that she would be fine and that she could be billed. Not only was that embarrassing but very uncomfortable! Each visit I am being encouraged to do something different from the last doctor advice and MY OPINIONS about MY BODY doesn't seem to matter anymore but I have made it 2 years feeling better so I would recommend this practice as a temporary one.
William C. Tidmore, Jr., MD, is a rheumatologist at Valdosta Specialty Clinic in Valdosta, Georgia.
Dr. Tidmore received his medical doctorate from Emory University School of Medicine in 1990., graduating magna cum laude. He entered the residency program of internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1990 and was a fellow in the Division of Rheumatology at John Hopkins Hospital from 1993-1996.
Dr. Tidmore was asked to serve as Associate Chief of Service for the Johns Hopkins Department of Medicine from 1994-1995. He was awarded the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine House Staff Outstanding reacher Award in 1994.
He returned to South Georgia in 1996 to start his practice in rheumatology and internal medicine. Dr. Tidmore is board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine in both internal medicine and rheumatology. He is on staff at South Georgia Medical Center and Smith Northview Hospital.
He was joined by his wife, Dr. Jennifer E. Lawrence of endocrinology, in 2000 to form Valdosta Specialty Clinic, a specialty clinic within Valdosta Family Medicine. Dr. Tidmore offers the newest medications for all forms of arthritis and participates in multiple studies assessing new treatment options.

This was my first visit with Dr. Tidmore. I felt very comfortable from the time I walked in at the receptionist desk. Upon meeting with Dr. Tidmore he also made me feel comfortable. He was very attentive to my concerns and he advised me accordingly. I would highly recommend Dr. Tidmore to my family and friends.

Great Doctor
Dr. Tidmore and Dr. Lawrence are both not only excellent providers but also wonderful people. In addition, their practice is very well run with minimal wait time and a responsive staff. I drive 2 hours to see them both and consider it well worth my time. We are fortunate to have them in South Georgia.
