Dr. Ron Lopez is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology as well as certified as a Diplomat in the sub-specialty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He completed his training in adult and child Psychiatry at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami and has been in private practice in the Pinellas County area for more than 24 years. Dr Lopez played a vital role in the Public Mental Health System of our community by heading the Child and adolescent “Crisis” unit at PEMHS, receiving and treating facility of Children suffering from a mental or substance abuse crisis.
Patrick Hickey is a dual certified family psychiatric mental health and family nurse practitioner. He began his health career enlisting as United States Naval hospital corpsman at 18. Cynthia Morris is a PMHNP-BC, ARNP, MSN in Palm Harbor, FL with special training and skill in diagnosing and treating physical causes of mental health disorders and substance addiction. Cynthia is board certified by ANCC for the treatment of substance use disorder and dependence. As an Addiction Specialist, Cynthia performs medical diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders that may lead to/or worsen substance use. Psychiatry is a medical specialty focusing on diagnosing and treating mental health disorders that may play a role in or co-occur with substance addiction. Significant diseases and conditions treated by Addiction Specialists can include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma, and other disorders that can contribute to addiction to alcohol, benzodiazepines, opiates, and prescription drugs. In addition to medication management, therapy is recommended for additional support.
