Elizabeth Casalegno, MD, is a board-certified adult psychiatrist at Adelpha Psychiatric Group in Pasadena, California.
Dr. Casalegno graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, San Diego, with a degree in biochemistry and cell biology. While at UCSD, she also studied abroad in the Bordeaux region of France, immersing herself in French culture and language. Later, she pursued her medical studies at the University of California, Davis. She ran a student-run clinic for low-income and minority patients and became an Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society member.
Her interest in human behavior led her to complete her psychiatry residency training at UCLA, where she served as the chief resident of the whole training program.
Dr. Casalegno specializes in treating various disorders with a careful selection of psychotropic medications in combination with individual psychotherapy and other interventional treatments such as TMS. Esther Kim, MD, is a board-eligible adult psychiatrist practicing at Adelpha Psychiatric Group in Pasadena, California. She has a diverse background in both music and psychiatry.
Dr. Kim earned her BA in Music with a minor in Biology and Chemistry. She continued on to earn her MD from Wake Forest School of Medicine, where she conducted pivotal research on depression and anxiety management in patients with epilepsy, studying innovative mental health care models and screening tools for epilepsy patients. In addition, she also founded the Wake Forest Musical Outreach Program, organizing musical events and concerts for individuals in the community.

Maya Smolarek, MD, is a board-certified adult psychiatrist at Adelpha Psychiatric Group in Pasadena, California.
Dr. Smolarek graduated Phi Beta Kappa from UC Berkeley with a degree in Religious Studies. Although she pursued medical training to enter palliative care, she could not escape the allure of focusing on internal experience, meaning, and personal narrative in the specialty of Psychiatry.
Dr. Smolarek graduated from UCLA medical school with a leadership award and induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for her merits in compassionate care. During Psychiatry Residency at UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute, she and a colleague co-founded the Women in Psychiatry group in order to further the education of trainees on issues related to women. She developed curricula for medical students and residents on sexual harassment during training and delivered talks on the subject at two national conventions. She continues her interest in teaching and mentorship as a Volunteer Clinical Faculty member at UCLA within the Interpersonal Therapy Clinic.

Rahael Gupta, MD, is a board-certified adult psychiatrist and board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist at Adelpha Psychiatric Group in Pasadena, California.
Dr. Gupta earned her BA in Human Biology from Stanford University and her MS in Narrative Medicine from Columbia University. She went on to earn her MD from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, where she was awarded the Raymond W. Waggoner Award for distinguished performance in psychiatry.
Dr. Gupta completed adult psychiatry residency training and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at UCLA, serving as Program Chief Fellow and pursuing the Parent and Infant Mental Health Area of Distinction. During her fellowship, she became a certified facilitator of the Circle of Security International Early Intervention Program for Parents and Children (an attachment-based, reflective parenting program), facilitating groups for new mothers at UCLA’s Perinatal Intensive Outpatient Program. Dr. Brittany Tarrant was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland to a family who encouraged her to follow her dreams – even if that meant humoring a 5-year-old who exclaimed that she would be a doctor one day. Dr. Tarrant went on to complete her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park. There, she discovered her love for the human brain and mental health and knew that psychiatry would be a great fit. She completed her master’s degree at Georgetown University and then her Doctor of Medicine degree at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. She then set her sights on the sunny skies and warm weather here in Los Angeles and completed her general adult psychiatric training at UCLA.
Dr. Tarrant is board-certified in Adult Psychiatry and is board-eligible for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She trained at UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience & Human Behavior and Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, where she completed both her residency and fellowship. Dr. Key was born and raised in Washington, DC. before venturing off the east coast. He received a BA in Human Biology from Stanford University and earned his MD from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Key had an early passion of bridging the gap between medicine and communities of color. His love of narrative and ability to connect patients to their personal stories led him to Psychiatry and he continued his training at UCLA’s Semel Neuropsychiatric Institute. He served as the residency’s Co-Chief of Justice, Equity, Diversion, and Inclusion (JEDI) for two consecutive years with the goal of greater equity amongst historically underrepresented peoples. As a resident, he trained in highly specialized clinics treating psychotic and mood disorders, anxiety disorders, addiction, and ADHD. Justin is also a father, husband, and a fiction author.
Dr. Poblete is a board-certified psychiatrist trained in the diagnosis and treatment of the full spectrum of psychiatric and mental health disorders. He is a co-founder of Regeneration Psychiatry and sees patients virtually and in-person at our Redondo Beach, California office. Dr. Poblete has extensive experience in the management of anxiety disorders, depression, OCD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, borderline personality disorder, ADHD, and addiction. He has a special interest in working with transgender/gender expansive/non-binary individuals, other members of the LGBTQ+ community, and people living with HIV. Dr. Poblete grew up in Southern California in a Filipino-American immigrant family. He received his undergraduate education at UC Berkeley, where he studied anthropology and urban studies. Prior to going to medical school, he was a community organizer and campaigner working in social/racial justice movements and in the labor movement. He completed his medical education at UCSF, his internship at Harbor-UCLA, and his psychiatric residency at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA.

Wenqi Feng, MD is a cofounder of Regeneration Psychiatry. She is a board-certified psychiatrist who has extensive experience treating the full scope of mental health disorders and she practices in Redondo Beach, California.
She has a special interest in reproductive psychiatry and women’s mental health and has helped many women navigate their psychiatric care during pregnancy and postpartum. She also has experience treating premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) and peri-menopausal psychiatric disorders.
Dr. Feng was born in Nanchang, China, and immigrated with her parents to the United States when she was a child. She attended medical school at Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, where she discovered her love of connecting with patients and listening to their stories.
She continued her training at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), in Los Angeles, California, completing a general adult psychiatry residency at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior in Los Angeles, California.

Dr. Stephanie Sabra, MD, MPH is a board-certified psychiatrist, who treats child, adolescent and adult patients using a wholistic approach that incorporates lifestyle modifications, psychotherapy, and medications into their treatment plans.
She was raised in the South Bay of Los Angeles, CA. She attended the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular & Cell Biology, with an emphasis in Neurobiology as well as a Master’s degree in Public Health, which equipped her with a broader perspective of health and preventive medicine. She completed her medical training at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine and Adult Psychiatry residency at the Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center. Her interest in child development and early intervention for mental illness led her to pursue fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Boston Children’s Hospital / Harvard Medical School.
