I am especially interested in pharmacologically challenging cases and handling co-morbidities. I attended UMDNJ, New Jersey Medical School where I received my medical degree, completed residency training in General Psychiatry, and a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. After graduating, I decided to stay within the same organization working as one of the head psychiatrists for a Partial Hospitalization Program. Aside from treating adults and adolescents I also have experience working with young children who benefited from treatment within a Therapeutic Learning Center.
As I continued to expand my horizons within the field of Psychiatry, my family and I decided to relocate to the Sunshine state. Since my relocation, I have been working within the private sector with children, adolescents, and adult patients.

Tamara is the ARNP at Jata Care Medical Services and she is a servant to her community. She has spent the majority of her career in the Emergency Department where she started out as a RN over 15 years ago. She then decided to further her education and got her Master’s in nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her career as a nurse practitioner started out in quick care clinics, primary care, and urgent care. She then ventured into the substance abuse rehabilitation industry and has gained experiences in areas such as minor care complaints, family medicine, primary care, and substance abuse treatment with MAT. Driven by a true passion for helping others, she takes pride in providing the best medical care services possible. As a Family ARNP her goals include providing convenient, holistic, affordable, and comprehensive health care services to the community she services. While taking care of others is her primary job function by day, Tamara also enjoys spending time with her family.

As a first-generation college graduate and a Hispanic American, Hard work, success, and humble beginnings, are the benchmark of my ideals. I attained my Master's degree from South University Tampa in 2018. I went back to school to be a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse practitioner at the University of Miami in 2020 because of the dire need for more compassionate caregivers. I was destined to help fill in the gaps to healthcare disparities.
In 2013, I attained my Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a minor in psychology from Fairleigh Dickenson University in Teaneck, NJ.
Psychiatry and Psychology have always been my passion and my calling. After completing nursing school, I worked as a Registered Nurse in numerous hospital settings, such as Neurology, Orthopedic, and Maternity/Neonatal Care. Working in all those different settings, has allowed me to gain valuable clinical experience.
