Mind-body therapies can support the mind’s ability to affect body functions and can reduce and even cure anxiety, depression, chronic illness, pain, and associated symptomatology. Every person’s situation is unique, and the psychotherapy approach should reflect this. It requires a partnership between the patient and the provider and encompasses factors such as the patient’s social, cultural, and environmental factors. Developing personalized treatment plans empowers patients to work at their own pace toward their full potential.
