Nathalia Fonseca, SLPD, CCC-SLP, TSSLD-BE, is a speech-language pathologist and the founder of Bilingual Speech-Language & Swallowing Therapy. Dr. Fonseca offers speech therapy to children and adults in the Forest Hills neighborhood of New York City, New York.
Dr. Fonseca earned her master’s degree and doctorate in speech-language pathology at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). She is a certified speech-language pathologist through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
While helping patients at Bilingual Speech-Language & Swallowing Therapy, Dr. Fonseca serves as a director of clinical education and services at Marymount Manhattan College, as well as an adjunct professor at NSU.
As a Level II PROMPT© trained therapist, Dr. Fonseca has the experience and skills to treat a wide variety of speech disorders in pediatric and adult patients, including individuals with transgender voice modifications, swallowing disorders, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), motor speech disorders, and cognitive impairments.

Mei Ling León, M.S., CF-SLP, TSSLD/BE, received her M.S. in Communicative Sciences and Disorders with a bilingual extension certification in Spanish from New York University. Mei earned her B.S. in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from CUNY Lehman College and a B.B.A. in Business Administration from CUNY Baruch College. Moreover, she is certified in LSVT-LOUD.
Mei presented at the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) conference in 2022, sharing her expertise and research focused on advancing the field of speech-language
pathology through the NYU Swallowing Research Lab. Moreover, Mei has supported adult clients at RUSK Rehabilitation Center at NYU Langone Health, leading Aphasia Community Groups for individuals with acquired language disorders following a stroke or brain injury.
Throughout her clinical externship experiences, Mei has developed culturally responsive and evidence-based practices to best support her clients and families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Steven is a bilingual speech-language pathologist completing his clinical fellowship year at Bilingual Speech-Language & Swallowing Therapy where he provides speech and language-related services to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Steven received his M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology at CUNY Brooklyn College and his B.A. in Psychology at CUNY Hunter College.
During his time at Brooklyn College, Steven gained clinical experience in providing speech and language-related services to pediatric and geriatric clients. Steven has led an Aphasia Group with the purpose of providing a safe space for individuals with aphasia and related conditions to communicate with one another and help each other improve their socioemotional qualities. Steven also co-led a Transition Group with the purpose of providing services to young adults to help them with the process of transitioning from university studies to working careers and jobs.
Steven has been able to provide assessment and treatment services to pediatric and geriatric populations, with diverse backgrounds, in the areas of speech-sound disorders, expressive and receptive language disorders, autism spectrum disorder, aphasia, neurological disorders, cognitive disorders, and fluency disorders. He is hoping to expand his knowledge within the field to provide competent and appropriate services to all individuals with different and unique needs.
Steven’s passion for the field of speech-language pathology stems from his background in working with diverse groups of underserved individuals. He particularly hopes to provide services to those who have been unable to receive services due to “falling out of the radar”. Stephanie Naying Liu M.S. CF-SLP, TSSLD/BE, is a trilingual speech-language pathologist in Mandarin, Chinese, and Korean. She graduated from Teachers College, Columbia University with a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Queens College, with minors in psychology and linguistics.
During her clinical experiences, she provided speech, language, and swallowing therapies to both pediatric and adult patients in a variety of settings such as private clinics, rehabilitation centers, public schools, and home health. She provided treatment services in the areas of speech-sound disorders, expressive and receptive language disorders, pragmatic language, autism spectrum disorder, aphasia, voice, augmentative and alternative communication, adult dysphagia or swallowing disorders, neurological disorders, cognitive disorders, and fluency disorders.
Naying’s passion to serve minority groups stems from her language and cultural background, and she hopes to provide professional and ethical speech and language services to bilingual families who are often underserved. In addition, Naying is currently the facilitating SLP for the Mandarin group for the International Aphasia Movement, a non-profit organization that provides social support and no-cost group speech therapy online. Sharon Persaud M.S. CCC-SLP, TSSLD, is a speech-language pathologist with six years of experience treating both pediatric and adult patients. She has conducted speech therapy in schools, clinics, teletherapy, homecare and nursing home facilities.
Sharon received her Masters of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Adelphi University. Shirley Tennyson is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist with special interest and training in voice disorders. As a mezzo-soprano and an actress, her background as a soloist in opera, recital, and oratorio led her to specialization in working with singers, actors, and other professional voice users. She graduated with Master's Degrees from Ohio University and Columbia University.
