During his time in podiatry school, Dr. Shalot served as president of the Student Chapter of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and as president of the NYCPM Student Organization. Steven Schulberg, DO, is a board-certified surgeon who is part of the team at Progressive Surgical Care which has New York offices in Forest Hills, New Hyde Park, Long Island, and Howard Beach, Queens. He specializes in minimally invasive general and colorectal surgery.
Dr. Schulberg was born and raised in New York. He attended Binghamton University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He then attended New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he earned his medical degree in 2016.
He went on to complete his general surgery residency at NYU Langone Health – Brooklyn, where he graduated as chief resident. Following residency, Dr. Schulberg completed a fellowship in minimally invasive colon and rectal surgery at the University of Texas Houston, McGovern Medical School, one of the highest volume robotic colorectal surgery programs in the nation. Thangamani Seenivasan, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon and surgical oncologist serving adults living in and around Somerville, New Jersey, and throughout Somerset County.
Dr. Seenivasan was born and raised in India. He earned his undergraduate medical degrees from Stanley Medical College in Tamil Nadu, where he also received postgraduate surgical training. In 1991, Dr. Seenivasan moved to England and completed two surgery residencies: one at Kent & Canterbury Hospital in Canterbury and another at Middlesex Hospital in London.

Formerly an associate professor of surgery at the prestigious Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Dr. Nackman trained and led the next generation of vascular surgeons and physicians. Currently, he's an attending surgeon at the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital.
Dr. Nackman has received national recognition for his NIH-funded, breakthrough scientific research. He's made numerous presentations at national and international conferences, authored textbook chapters and peer-reviewed articles, and co-authored a landmark scientific paper on how varicose veins degenerate.
Certified by the American Board of Surgery in Vascular Surgery, Dr. Nackman is a member of several national and local societies, including the Society for Vascular Surgery, Association for Academic Surgery, Society of University Surgeons, and the Vascular Society of New Jersey. He was chair of clinical programs at the NJ Center for Biomaterials and has served as a consultant to industry.
Steven Schulberg, DO, is a board-certified surgeon who is part of the team at Progressive Surgical Care which has New York offices in Forest Hills, New Hyde Park, Long Island, and Howard Beach, Queens. He specializes in minimally invasive general and colorectal surgery.
Dr. Schulberg was born and raised in New York. He attended Binghamton University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. He then attended New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he earned his medical degree in 2016.
He went on to complete his general surgery residency at NYU Langone Health – Brooklyn, where he graduated as chief resident. Following residency, Dr. Schulberg completed a fellowship in minimally invasive colon and rectal surgery at the University of Texas Houston, McGovern Medical School, one of the highest volume robotic colorectal surgery programs in the nation. While in Houston, he received advanced training and additional certification in minimally invasive robotic surgical techniques.
Dr. Schulberg is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and has presented at both national and international surgical conferences. He is a member of SAGES, the American College of Surgeons, and the American Society of Colorectal Surgeons. Dr. Schulberg’s practice focuses on using minimally invasive techniques, such as the DaVinci Robot and laparoscopy, to care for patients and improve postoperative outcomes. He greatly values the personal relationships he develops with patients during their care.
In his free time, Dr. Schulberg enjoys cooking, traveling, and rooting for the Mets. He especially loves spending time with his wife, Miriam, and son, Max.
