A board certified general and vascular surgeon with over 40 years in practice, Dr. Samuel P. Martin, MD, FACS, is the founder and medical director of Vascular Vein Centers, with locations in Orlando, Kissimmee, Lake Mary, The Villages, and Davenport.
Dr. Martin earned his Bachelor of Arts from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, and his medical degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He completed his general surgery residency at NewYork–Presbyterian Hospital, associated with Weill Cornell Medicine, and his vascular fellowship at Ochsner Medical Center (formerly Ochsner Foundation Hospital) in Jefferson, Louisiana.

As the first fellowship-trained vascular surgeon in Central Florida, Dr. Martin was also one of the founders and first medical director of the Central Florida Wound Care Center, the first in the tri-county area. Dr. Martin developed an interest in venous disease due to the fact that more than 50% of the wounds treated at the center were a result of vein problems. Thus, he recognized the need for specialized wound therapy.
Dr. Martin is currently on staff at Florida Hospital and Orlando Health, and is a member and former president of the Florida Vascular Society.
