Dr. Payal Patel grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and attended East Tennessee State University, where she graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and a minor in health sciences. Realizing her passion for dentistry while volunteering at a local VA Hospital, she then went to Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine to obtain her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD), where she had the opportunity to tutor younger dental students and enjoyed the teaching experience. She graduated from there in 2010 and received the Dean’s Award for Academic and Clinical Excellence.
