John M. Strasswimmer, MD, PhD, FAAD, FACMS, is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon. Dr. Strasswimmer sees patients at the Delray Beach, Florida, office of Dermatology Associates of the Palm Beaches. 

Dr. Strasswimmer was raised in Boston, earning both his medical and doctorate degrees from Tufts University. He served his internship at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, and his residency in dermatology at Yale Medical School in New Haven, Connecticut. He returned to Harvard as a laser surgery fellow and completed an additional one-year fellowship in Mohs Micrographic and Dermatologic Surgery through the American College of Mohs Surgery. He served on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and was a staff dermatologist at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston prior to joining Dermatology Associates of the Palm Beaches.

Dr. Strasswimmer is the lead author of more than a dozen cutting-edge research studies and continues to carry out research in skin cancer and lasers. He is a regular speaker at national and international symposia on dermatologic surgery. He specializes in dermatologic surgery and along with Dr. Howard A. Green and Dr. Richard Krathen, they are three of the few fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons in Florida.
