Vignesh Ramachandran, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist and fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology who treats adults and children in full-spectrum general, medical, and cosmetic dermatology conditions affecting the skin, hair and nails. When he was a child, he and his family immigrated to a small town of 16,000 in Ontario, Canada before his educational journey brought him to the United States. Peter Saitta, DO, is a board-certified dermatologist at the Skin Institute of New York (SINY®). Dr. Saitta treats adult and pediatric patients at SINY’s® three offices, in New York City’s West Village and the Bay Ridge and Park Slope areas of Brooklyn, New York.
After earning a bachelor of arts degree from New York University in New York City, Dr. Saitta received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey. He then completed his residency at Oakwood Seaway Hospital in Trenton, Michigan, in affiliation with Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. While in residency, Dr. Saitta served as chief resident and earned numerous national awards for academic excellence and leadership.
Dr. Saitta is an internationally recognized lecturer and published author on dermatology topics such as hair loss, acne, and the psychological effects of skin diseases. He trained with one of the most highly regarded acne experts in the world and also served as clinical research director on crucial studies related to acne, which led to the development of cutting-edge acne-treatment technologies that are now available to SINY® patients.
Dr. Saitta is an active member of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology and also serves as a national committee member for the dermatology resident in-service examination. Although he provides comprehensive dermatology treatment for all of his adult and pediatric patients, his special areas of expertise include skin cancer screening and treatment, hair loss, acne, and rashes of the hand, face, and scalp.
