Katie Brubaker NP-C is a board certified nurse practitioner at Beyond Women’s Care in Rochester Hills, MI.
I began my career as a registered nurse in 2012. I worked as a medical surgical nurse until I decided to advance my career and went back to school in 2014 to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. In 2016 I married my high school sweetheart of 11 years. That year, I also graduated with honors from Chamberlain University with my Masters Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Upon graduation I worked in an outpatient role caring for patients in a family practice clinic. This is where I first developed a passion in caring for women with gynecological problems and took interest in providing wellness screenings and disease prevention for women. In 2019, shortly after the birth of my son Tristan, I changed my focus and began working at Ascension Providence Rochester as a Gynecological Surgical Nurse Practitioner. In 2021 my husband and I welcomed our daughter Kora. I love being a wife, mother to my two children and my two Bengal cats. While working at the hospital for 3 years, I developed a strong passion in caring for my patients and decided to further advance my career by becoming a Surgical First Assist. This certification allows me to be able to assist with the surgeries in the patients I care for. I strongly believe that developing a relationship with my patients is key to quality care. I always felt like I was missing a deeper connection with my patients when working at the hospital since my position only allowed me the privilege of knowing my patients in an inpatient setting. I am very excited to be joining the Beyond Women’s Care team and hope to build relationships with my future patients. I have known Dr. Goulding since 2010 and met Dr. Gumbrecht in 2014 when I did my women’s health rotations with Dr. Goulding for my masters degree. I have had the privilege of working side-by-side with all of the doctors at Beyond Women's care since 2019 and am excited to start on this new journey with them and the rest of the fantastic team at Beyond Women’s Care.
Katie’s special interests include: Gynecological Surgery, Women’s Wellness and Disease Prevention, Women’s Health Education Related to Routine Screening and Disease Prevention
