There is nothing I take more seriously than the practice of medicine and have been doing it in the Las Vegas area since 2000. I enjoy not only talking and listening to my patients, but developing close personal relationships with them – something I believe is very important, but often missing in today’s typical healthcare settings (outpatient and inpatient). Spending ample time to learn about each patient is part of the crucial foundation that formulates a correct diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan. Although the technologies are important, ultimately, what is most beneficial for a patient is having a physician with good clinical judgment, skills and experience, as well as the willingness to spend the time getting to know the detailed history of the patient in order to integrate the information from those technologies into the big picture. Amarjit “AJ” Singh, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician at the Family Health & Wellness Center by Dr. Singh, providing health care to people of all ages at office locations in Las Vegas and Pahrump, Nevada.

Dr. Singh studied at St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine in San Pedro, Belize, earning her medical degree. She then completed a family medicine residency at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, receiving extensive training in all aspects of family medicine.

At the Family Health & Wellness Center by Dr. Singh, she provides full-service medical care to people of all ages, taking an integrative treatment approach, where she emphasizes one-on-one collaboration with patients. This commitment to high-quality care is illustrated by her friendly demeanor, compassionate bedside manner, and dedication to ensuring people receive the best possible care.

Dr. Singh diagnoses and treats various acute and chronic medical conditions and has a special interest in diabetes management and respiratory problems.

Jonathan Maxham, DO, is a board-certified internal medicine physician at the Family Health & Wellness Center by Dr. Singh, with locations in Las Vegas and Pahrump, Nevada.

Dr. Maxham was born and raised in South Carolina. He studied at the Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine, earning his medical degree. After graduation, he completed residency training at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.

Dr. Maxham then joined the United States Air Force and moved to Nevada. He was deployed to Afghanistan and received the Army Commendation Medal (ARCOM). 

After his deployment, Dr. Maxham served at Nellis Air Force Base in Southern Nevada. There, he worked as a geriatrician, supporting elderly veterans with chronic health conditions like high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and diabetes.

Dr. Maxham is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. His treatment philosophy combines traditional Western medicine with a holistic approach. He encourages healthy lifestyle changes to promote healing whenever possible but prescribes medications and other pharmacological interventions when necessary.

Outside of work, Dr. Maxham enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He’s also an avid golfer and barbecue enthusiast who loves smoking ribs on the weekends.

Board-certified family physician Naz Wahab, MD, and her team at Wound Care Experts offer a progressive and integrative approach to medicine at their practice in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dr. Naz Wahab is a Board-certified physician and a Fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association who has practiced in Southern Nevada since 2003.  After completion of her residency training, she established her family medicine practice in Las Vegas.  During this time, she encountered and treated countless patients.  This gave her a sense of the gaps in patient care in our community.  

One such gap was the lack of proper wound care.  Hoping to do her part to meet this need, she began to offer these services.  Thus, Wound Care Experts was born, and over the past 20 years has grown into a multimodal wound care and tissue regeneration service line.  Today, Dr. Wahab and her team of providers offer the Las Vegas area modern, evidence-based, and advanced wound healing modalities.  Examples include macrophage technology, negative pressure wound therapy, hyperbaric & topical oxygen therapy, near-infrared spectroscopy and stem cell therapy.

Maximilian W. Holliday, ARNP-BC, FNP, is a highly skilled and knowledgeable healthcare professional currently serving as a practitioner at Nevada Stem Cell and Neuropathy in Las Vegas, Nevada. With an illustrious career spanning over 30 years, Max has accumulated extensive expertise across various medical domains, including acute care, rehabilitation, and home health.

Maximilian commenced his medical journey by completing the licensed practical nurse (LPN) program at Humana Health Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida. He furthered his academic pursuits by obtaining an Associate of Science in nursing from St. Petersburg Junior College. Nicholas Kalayeh, MD, is a board-certified, skilled cardiologist at Advanced Heart Care Associates, with an office in Henderson and two locations in Las Vegas, Nevada. He has over 12 years of experience working as a cardiologist in a variety of settings. He’s also a professor at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas and Touro University Nevada in Henderson, Nevada.

Dr. Kalayeh earned his bachelor’s degree in biology, with a minor in chemistry, at the University of Texas at Arlington. He completed his medical degree at Spartan Health Sciences University in St. Lucia, West Indies, and a family medicine internship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. 

Dr. Kalayeh continued his medical training with an internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at Banner University Medical Center and Carl T. Hayden Veterans’ Administration Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. 

He also completed an interventional cardiology fellowship program at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) at Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey.

Dr. Kalayeh maintains his advanced credentials with continuing education to stay current with the latest advances in the field of cardiology. He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology, and interventional cardiology. Dr. Kalayeh is a member of the American College of Physicians, American College of Cardiology, and the American Heart Association.

He’s participated in numerous research studies that appear in prestigious medical journals and is fluent in English and Farsi. In his free time, Dr. Kalayeh loves software design, martial arts, off-road driving, carpentry, auto restoration, and table tennis.

Anjum Ismail, MD, MBA, FACC, is a board-certified cardiologist at Advanced Heart Care Associates, serving at their Henderson, Nevada location. Dr. Ismail brings more than 30 years of experience and expertise to the practice and has worked as a cardiology and internal medicine specialist in a variety of settings.

Hailing from Pakistan, Dr. Ismail completed his undergraduate studies at Graduate Forman Christian College in Lahore, Pakistan, in 1982. He later attended King Edward Medical College in Lahore, graduating with his medical doctorate in 1988. He completed his first internship in internal medicine and general and pediatric surgery at Mayo Hospital in Lahore in 1989.

After moving to the Bronx in New York City, Dr. Ismail completed his internal medicine residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in 1995, where he became chief resident. Four years later, he relocated to Orange, California, and completed a cardiology fellowship at the University of California Irvine.

Today, Dr. Ismail holds board certifications in internal medicine, cardiology, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology, and echocardiography, and he is on the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE). He also has a master’s in business administration (MBA) from Marylhurst University in Lake Oswego, Oregon.

Dr. Ismail provides complete care for cardiology conditions ranging from arrhythmia and chest pain to congestive heart failure and palpitations. He stays abreast of the latest treatments in cardiology, including the newest pacemaker technology, stents, and peripheral intervention.

Outside of his work at Advanced Heart Care Associates, Dr. Ismail is director of the Chest Pain Center at St. Rose Siena Campus in Henderson, Nevada. He is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Coronary, Angiography, and Intervention. He is also a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
