Jana Dopson Illston, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN and urogynecologist serving patients at North Atlanta Ob/Gyn, which has locations in Alpharetta, Marietta, and Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Martinez is a graduate of Florida A&M University. She completed medical school at the University of Louisville school of medicine in Louisville, KY before moving to Georgia to be closer to family. Dr. Amua-Quarshie was born in Ghana, West Africa, but grew up in New York, where she received her medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine in New York City in 1995. She then underwent residency training in OB/GYN at Boston Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. She was voted "best OB/GYN teaching resident" during her residency there and received a Berlex Labs award.

After completing residency training in 1999, Dr. Amua-Quarshie returned home to the greater New York area, where she worked in teaching hospitals and private practice settings. After marriage and a period of locum work, she and her family eventually relocated to the south, in the Dallas Fort Worth area, where she worked in the Methodist Health System as an OB/GYN hospitalist physician for several years.

Christian ministry is a major outside responsibility of theirs. She also enjoys gardening, cooking, and helping relatives and the community back in Ghana. Dr. Amua-Quarshie also tries her best to be healthy.

​​Albert Scott Jr., MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN physician and surgeon. He is also the president of Dekalb Women’s Specialists in Decatur and Stonecrest, Georgia.

Dr. Scott was born in Mansfield, Ohio. He graduated with honors from Ohio State University in Columbus with his bachelor of science in mathematics. He then furthered his education, obtaining his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. 

Dr. Scott then completed his residency training at Henry Ford Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. He completed his da Vinci robotic training and received his certification in 2014.

Dr. Scott is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). In August 2019, he was inaugurated as the 69th president of the Georgia Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (GOGS) after serving on its board for over 12 years. The governor also appointed him to sit on the Coronavirus Task Force during the most critical medical crisis in recent times.

Dr. Scott has received many prestigious awards, namely “Top Doc” by Atlanta Magazine and a nomination for “Outstanding Physician of the Year” by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Dr. Scott was the first African American physician to become chief of staff at Dekalb Medical Center in its 50-year history and is president-elect of the Dekalb Medical Society.

Dr. Walters, a native of Port Gibson, Mississippi, recognized long ago that the field of obstetrics and gynecology paid too little mind to the needs of the women being treated. Dr. Paccione comes to the Atlanta area from Richmond, Virginia. She graduated from the University of Virginia as a distinguished Echols Scholar with a Bachelor of Arts in bioethics, public health, and health policy, with a concentration in medical ethics. She then furthered her education with a postgraduate certificate in neuroanatomy and a Master of Science in biochemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine.

Nitasha Menon, MD, is a caring OB/GYN at North Atlanta Women's Specialists. She feels privileged to care for women during critical periods in their lives and sees patients at the Northside and Midtown offices in Atlanta and Johns Creek office in Duluth.

Dr. Menon was born and raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (GO HEELS!), where she majored in psychology. She then spent a few years working in the area of property management and clinical research. She returned to UNC for medical school and earned her Master's of Public Health during this time. Dr. Menon completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at UNC.

Dr. Menon fell in love with obstetrics during medical school, and her interests include contraception, weight gain during pregnancy, and minimally invasive surgery.
