Edward Tangchitnob, MD, MBA, FACOG, FACS is a robotic surgeon and regenerative medicine physician specializing in minimally invasive and holistic treatments for chronic diseases associated with aging. Dr. Tangchitnob’s private practice is located in West Covina, CA.
Dr. Tangchitnob performs robotic procedures for women to help treat abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, infertility, and urogynecological symptoms that occur after childbirth. “During my IUD placement, Dr. Guile was great, but the nurse Marina who worked with him was not. She was unprofessional. She asked me once beforehand if I was sexually active, I said I was & was on birth control, but since I’ve gotten off birth control in the past thirty days, I had not been sexually active in the past 30 days. She decided not to take a urine test from me.
The doctor asks during the procedure while I’m sedated, why didn’t you take a urine test from her? She says “the patient didn’t want to, I asked her TWICE if she was sexually active” and they fuss about it, making me think something has gone wrong or I was pregnant, adding to the stress of the situation.
I feel like this was so unprofessional of the nurse to lie to the doctor about how many times she asked me if I was sexually active, in front of me while I’m sedated with a speculum inside of me… it made the experience so stressful. Then she asked me after the procedure to “pee in a cup just in case”.
The experience was painless but that whole interaction made it stressful.”
