Emily Woodbury, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified expert in obstetrics and gynecology at Lucina Women's Health and Midwifery known for her warm bedside manner, compassionate care of patients, and thorough knowledge of OB/GYN. Born into a family of physicians of all specialties, Dr. Woodbury knew at age 4 that medicine was the field for her. She earned her bachelor's degree in international affairs and science from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, where she graduated summa cum laude.

Dr. Woodbury then attended medical school at Columbia University, where she earned several prestigious research awards. Dr. Luisa C. Cueto has 26 years of experience as a medical doctor. Sharon Smith-Thomas, MD, FACOG, provides expert care in the field of obstetrics and gynecology to patients at Lucina Women's Health and Midwifery located in Boca Raton, Florida.  

Dr. Smith-Thomas graduated from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica, with honors in Biochemistry and Zoology. She then went on to pursue her medical degree at the Mona Campus of the university, where she graduated at the top of the class, with honors. She trained in family medicine for two years at Louisiana State University in Monroe County, before being accepted into the residency program at Rochester General Hospital in New York, where she was able to pursue her true passion in life: obstetrics and gynecology. During her residency, she received multiple resident awards including the Berlex teaching award and the Dr. James Craig Potters award for the resident who is industrious, hardworking, honest, kind, skilled, and learns from each patient.  

Prior to moving to South Florida, she practiced for five years in Gallup, New Mexico, where she gained vast clinical experience in diabetes and hypertension. Cecile A. Walker, MD, is a board-certified OB/GYN with over 20 years of experience in the field. She welcomes patients to book an appointment with her at Lucina Women's Health and Midwifery in Boynton Beach, Florida. 

Dr. Walker was born on the Caribbean island of Nevis, and at age 3, moved to the island of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, where she grew up. In 1989, she graduated magna cum laude from the University of the Virgin Islands, St. Thomas campus, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with Physics. She first developed an interest in female healthcare one summer during college when she had the opportunity to shadow an obstetrician/gynecologist.  

In 1989, she moved to Washington, DC, to attend medical school at Howard University College of Medicine. While in medical school, her interest in female healthcare grew, and she also discovered a liking for surgery. Electing to pursue a career in Obstetrics and Gynecology was therefore an easy decision for Dr. Walker, as it is the ideal blend of medicine and surgery.

Dr. Walker received her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in 1993, graduating in the top 10% of her class. In 1997, she completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Vincent's Medical Center of Richmond in Staten Island, New York. After completing residency, she practiced in the District of Columbia and Maryland, then Montgomery, Alabama, before moving to South Florida, where she has been practicing since 2013.

Douglas Smith, DO, of Gemini OBGYN in Pembroke Pines, FL, grew up in Philadelphia and practiced there for 6 years. He and Dr. Goldberg shared residencies at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, after they both attended Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In 2003, Dr. Smith moved to Weston and partnered with Dr. Goldberg in their medical practice. The 2 share a commitment to a “patients first” philosophy of health care.

Carlos Rodriguez Ortiz MD, PA is an obstetrician and gynecologist in Miami and Hialeah, HCA Florida Kendall Regional Hospital. During his time as a women’s health specialist, Dr. Rodriguez has made thousands of deliveries, from natural and cesarean section deliveries to complex ones. He and his team are highly trained to manage all types of pregnancies and gynecology procedures.
