She served her internship in Saint Vincent Hospital, then went on to complete her residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. In 2013, she was invited to join the Greenburgh Health Center in Westchester county, NY, providing high-quality care to the community for almost 5 years. In 2018, she moved with her family to Fairfax, Virginia, and started her own practice, Elite Gynecology & MedSpa. Zohreh Nikkhah Abyaneh, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified OB/GYN at Woodbridge Obstetrics & Gynecology,  a women’s health practice serving Woodbridge, Virginia and the surrounding areas including Lorton, Springfield, Stafford, Annandale, Manassas, Alexandria, and Fairfax. After completing her undergraduate degree, graduating summa cum laude, from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Dr. Young was accepted into medical school. She earned her doctor of medicine from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. 

Dr. Young then completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency through Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. She’s currently board certified through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a member of the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists.

Throughout her career, Dr. Young has gained extensive experience in pelvic floor surgery and minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Young regularly speaks at conferences and teaches her peers about modern surgical procedures and women’s health topics. She has special interests in uterine fibroids, abnormal bleeding, contraception, adolescent gynecology, and abnormal Pap smears. 

Dr. Young was even the first physician to perform robotic surgery using the da Vinci® system at the Johns Hopkins Medicine Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, in 2009.
