She completed pre-professional undergraduate education in a college and four years of professional education at SUNY College of Optometry in New York, NY, leading to the Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree. Her main focus is understanding his patients’ eye care needs and providing them with the most up-to-date treatment options available. Dr. Anna Lazarev is sensitive to the uniqueness of each patient’s situation and aliment, and adapts her treatment options properly to accommodate individual needs and concerns. She gives her patients undivided, focused attention, thus she is able to deliver the best care and treatment available.
Dr. Janna Stepankoff has been delivering outstanding eye care services to the underserved communities of Brooklyn for over 15 years. She is a highly skilled, qualified and experienced optometrist who earned her optometric degree from the SUNY College of Optometry in New York, NY. She further advanced her education by completing additional training at Brooklyn VA Medical Center. Dr. Stepankoff is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry.
Conditions that she treats include, but are not limited to eye infections, glaucoma, cataract, cornea problems, and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Stepankoff devotes considerable amount of time to co-management of laser procedures with ophthalmologists. Dr. Stepankoff takes genuine interest in updating herself on various new advancements in her field so that her patients get the best and the most advanced treatments possible. She puts significant emphasis on interaction with her patients and focuses on preventive care. Her goal is to not only provide top quality eye care, but to ensure that her patients understand their health and eyes. Caitlyn Raia, OD, is a board-certified optometric physician serving the community of New Providence, New Jersey. At Berkeley Heights Eye Group, she provides comprehensive optometry services and has expertise in ocular diseases, contact lens fittings, and dry eye syndrome.
Dr. Raia attended Muhlenberg College for her undergraduate studies, majoring in biology and dance. Upon graduation from Muhlenberg, she completed optometry school at Salus University, where she pursued advanced studies in contact lenses.
After graduation from Optometry school, Dr. Raia completed a residency at the VA New Jersey Health System in East Orange, New Jersey, pursuing a concentration in Ocular Disease and Low Vision.

Dr. Rachel Pollak is a NYS Licensed optometrist who provides primary eye care for patients of all ages in Inwood, NY.
Dr. Pollak received her doctorate from the prestigious SUNY College of Optometry, where she graduated with honors. She is trained in primary, pediatric, and emergency eye care, as well as regular and specialty contact lenses. She also diagnoses, treats, and manages ocular disease.
Dr. Pollak specializes in pediatric eye care, and specifically, in myopia control (slowing down the progression of near-sightedness). Dr. Pollak will address all aspects of your child’s vision, including its functional impact on learning and academic performance. She is skilled in all methods of myopia control, including eye drops, multifocal contact lenses, and ortho-k lenses.
Dr. Pollak believes everyone should be comfortable wearing contact lenses. She fits spherical, astigmatic, multifocal, and custom contact lenses, and is especially known for her fitting success with patients that have had difficulty in the past with contact lenses. Dr. Pollak treats dry eye symptoms aggressively using both prescription eye drops and punctal plugs, to allow for maximum contact lens comfort.

After receiving his undergraduate degree, Dr. Retkinski attended the State University of New York School of Optometry in New York City, where he earned his doctorate in optometry in 1982. An acclaimed expert in eye care, Dr. Retkinski has published essays and articles in prestigious optometric journals like Optometric Management.
Dr. Retkinski specializes in many optic conditions and services but is specially trained in pediatric eye care, including examining, diagnosing, and treating children as young as 1 year old. He also offers comprehensive geriatric eye care, leveraging innovative tools like visual fields perimeter instruments and retinal cameras.
Dr. Retkinski has amassed an enormous amount of experience in the intricacies of bifocals, soft contact lenses, and gas permeable lenses. Merin Abraham, OD, provides state-of-the-art ophthalmology services with an emphasis on patient-centered care at Marano Eye Care. She sees patients and treats various ocular conditions at each of the practice's three convenient locations in Denville, Livingston, and Newark, New Jersey.
Dr. Abraham received her Doctor of Optometry degree with magna cum laude honors from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2018. She then went on to complete a residency in primary care and ocular disease at the Eye Care Center of New Jersey.

Dr. Michele Spooner is an accomplished optometrist with expertise in routine eye care, contact lens fitting, prism refractions, and cataract, glaucoma, and retina surgery co-management. Dr. Spooner received her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry (Salus University) in 2005. Born and raised in Suburban Philadelphia, she is also very active in the community as the head coach of two local swim teams.
Dr. Yelena Fishman has been practicing full scope eye care since 2007. She is a magma cum laude graduate of MCP Hahnemann University and the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, as well as a member of the Bucks-Montgomery County Optometric Association. Dr. Fishman is constantly learning new ways to bring personalized, cutting edge treatments to every patient, in every exam. She specializes in comprehensive vision care, contact lens evaluations, and anterior segment disease, specifically dry eye disease. Dr. Fishman will work with you to treat your unique visual needs, and match you with the prescription to help you see life a little more clearly.
