John P. Nolan, Jr., MD, is board-certified in both orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine. He is one of the founders of Mercer-Bucks Orthopaedics, with offices in Hamilton, and Lawrenceville, New Jersey, and Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Nolan grew up in Huntington Valley, Pennsylvania, and attended La Salle University. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, where he earned an appointment as a clinical instructor and completed additional post-residency training in sports medicine at Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Nolan was appointed clinical instructor at the orthopaedic division of Laser Centers of America, where he developed laser instruments for use in arthroscopy.

James Scott, DO, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon at Mercer-Bucks Orthopaedics, with offices in Hamilton, and Lawrenceville, New Jersey, and Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Scott was born in Bergen County, New Jersey, and moved to Montgomery Township with his family. He met his future wife, Risa, with whom he now shares two daughters.
Dr. Scott is a graduate of Montgomery High School and still has deep ties to Central New Jersey. An early interest in medicine and participation in track and cross country exposed him to orothopaedics and helped lay the foundation for his future career. He went on to study kinesiology with an interest in movement science at Penn State University in Centre County, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Scott eventually went on to study medicine at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Rowan SOM (Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine) in Stratford, New Jersey. He then completed a one-year fellowship in adult reconstructive orthopaedics at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia, and has published research and book chapters.
After his fellowship, Dr. Scott continued his career in Cooperstown, New York, where he led the joint replacement program, specializing in complex hip and knee reconstruction and revisions. After seven years in Cooperstown, he is excited to return to Central New Jersey and serve the community he considers home.
Paul W. Codjoe, MD, is a skilled, board-certified orthopaedic surgeon at Mercer-Bucks Orthopaedics in Hamilton, Lawrenceville, and Princeton, New Jersey, and Langhorne, Pennsylvania. He is currently the President of Mercer-Bucks Orthopaedics.
Dr. Codjoe joined Mercer-Bucks Orthopaedics after spending a year in private practice and another year in fellowship training at the world-renowned Hughston Clinic in Columbus, Georgia. During his fellowship, Dr. Codjoe specialized in arthroscopic surgery and minimally invasive joint reconstructive procedures of the knee and shoulder. Board-certified by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Codjoe enjoys treating general orthopaedic and sports medicine patients.
Born in Accra, Ghana, Dr. Codjoe came to the United States in 1989. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and subsequently earned his medical degree at Rutgers’ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He finished his internship in general surgery and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Stephen Cairone, DO, is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon at Mercer-Bucks Orthopaedics in Hamilton, and Lawrenceville, New Jersey, and Langhorne, Pennsylvania. On staff at MBO for 10 years, Dr. Cairone has over 19 years of private practice experience in Bucks County. He is dedicated to serving the Bucks County Community.
Born in Horsham, Pennsylvania, Dr. Cairone attended Hatboro-Horsham High School, where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. He went on to Lycoming College in Williamsport, where he majored in biology and minored in psychology. He earned Academic All American honors as a four-year starter in soccer and was selected for all Middle Atlantic Conference in his senior year.
Dr. Cairone spent the next nine years at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. There, he completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery. He completed his fellowship training in spine surgery at the University of Pennsylvania.
Over the last 15 years, Dr. Cairone has served in several capacities for the American Osteopathic Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons and as the vice president and president of the spine subsection while giving several lectures each year. In 2012, Dr. Cairone was inducted as a fellow of the American Osteopathic Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons as a result and culmination of his work.
He currently serves as an associate clinical professor of orthopaedic surgery at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Louis Peter Re Jr., MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with expertise in sports medicine and orthopedic trauma at his office in the Midtown West area of Manhattan, New York City. He is a fellowship-trained shoulder surgeon specializing in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, repairs and revisions of complex rotator cuff tears, and shoulder replacement surgery.

Marc Zac Handler, MD, is an acclaimed lecturer and a board-certified academic dermatologist at Kessel Dermatology in Hamilton Square, New Jersey. He is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Handler is also an assistant clinical professor in dermatology at Rutgers University New Jersey Medical School.
He served as a Fellow in the United States House of Representatives and crafted cost-neutral legislation to combat HIV infection. He has received the Congressional Recognition Award three times from bipartisan House members for his work on health care policy and was named a Nebraska Admiral, by the Governor of the State of Nebraska, in recognition of service to the community. He was the former director of sports medicine and was an active member at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Additionally, he is an associate professor of orthopaedic surgery at Drexel University College of Medicine.
He has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine, and for the last five years, he has been an associate master instructor of arthroscopy at the Orthopaedic Learning Center, which allows him to teach arthroscopies nationally.
