Stepan Kasimian, M.D., is an orthopaedic surgeon with specialty training in complex spinal reconstruction and minimally invasive spine surgery. His primary interests include degenerative spine disease and spinal deformity. He has extensive experience in treating multiple spine disorders including disc herniations, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, kyphosis, scoliosis, tumors, and spinal trauma in the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine.
EDUCATION
Dr. Kasimian received his undergraduate degrees in Microbiology & Molecular Genetics and History from the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. After residency, Dr. Kasimian obtained further training in complex spinal reconstruction surgery at Cedars-Spinal Medical Center, Institute for Spinal Disorders.

Dr. Kasimian has presented his research at the International Meeting on Advanced Spine Techniques and has written a chapter on endoscopic thoracic disc herniations in a prominent spine textbook.

Dr. Mitchell McDowell, a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, specializes in hip and knee reconstruction. He co-founded M Bone and Joint and serves as CEO. A Southern California native, he earned his undergraduate degree with Howard Hughes Medical Institute Honors from CSU Long Beach and completed medical training at Western University of Health Sciences.
Dr. McDowell completed residency at Riverside University Health System and an Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at Rush University. Before founding M Bone and Joint, he practiced for eight years as an award-winning surgeon, mentor, and researcher. He is an Associate Clinical Professor at UC Riverside and Western University.
Specializing in primary and revision joint arthroplasty, he is certified in robotic-assisted surgery (MAKO, ROSA) and researches regenerative health, ortho biologics, and shock wave therapy. In his free time, he enjoys guitar, woodworking, cooking, and reading.
Mehul Taylor, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Valley Orthopedic Institute in Palmdale and Ridgecrest, California. In addition to treating male and female patients of all ages who have general orthopedic issues, Dr. Taylor specializes in diagnosing and treating athletic injuries and arthroscopic surgeries.
Dr. Taylor has firm roots in Southern California, having grown up in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles County and graduated from Calabasas High School in Calabasas. Dr. Taylor earned his Bachelor of Science in physiological sciences at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Dr. Taylor then earned his medical degree at Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, where he graduated with honors in 2002. He was also elected to the noted Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.
Next came an orthopedic residency at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, before Dr. Taylor traveled to Minnesota for the University of Minnesota’s sports medicine fellowship program. There, he received advanced training in arthroscopic surgery and served as an assistant team physician for the university’s football team.

Anand Shah, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and board-certified orthopedic hand surgeon and the owner of Valley Orthopedic Institute in Palmdale and Ridgecrest, California. In addition to treating patients of all ages with general orthopedic problems, Dr. Shah specializes in hand and upper extremity trauma and reconstruction.
Opening the doors to Valley Orthopedic Institute marked a homecoming for Dr. Shah, who went to Quartz Hill High School in Lancaster, California, which is just a few minutes away from Palmdale in the Antelope Valley.
Dr. Shah graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in physiology and neuroscience. During his fellowship, Dr. Shah also contributed two chapters in a medical textbook, “Master’s Techniques in Orthopaedic Surgery – The Wrist,” one on hamate hook fractures and the other on radial styloidectomy.

Dr. Park is a Harvard Fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, and the first surgeon on the West Coast to utilize robotic technology for knee arthroplasties. The combination of Dr. Park's extensive surgical experience and innovative robotic resources ensures a higher recovery rate while minimizing post-operative infection reports. Dr. Park also serves as the Medical Director of the Joint Replacement Department at Providence Mission Hospital. Given his in-depth clinical knowledge and extensive surgical experience with robotic technology, he serves as a mentor to orthopaedic surgeons who wish to learn more about the use of robotics. Dr. Eidt is a highly specialized, double board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with expertise in both Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and General Orthopaedic Surgery. He is an expert in treating sports-related injuries, particularly those involving complex shoulder, elbow, knee, and ankle conditions, with a focus on arthroscopic management.
He attended the military medical school, Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, MD, where he was elected to the national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). He earned his undergraduate degree in economics with a minor in chemistry from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. Dr. Eidt served 16 years in the U.S. Army, providing care for both adult and pediatric patients with complex traumatic injuries. He was deployed multiple times, including a year stationed along the 38th parallel at the DMZ in South Korea. He also served in combat with the 173rd Airborne Division and the 2nd Forward Surgical Team (FST) at a forward operating base in Afghanistan, with additional assignments at military hospitals in Kandahar and Bagram. For his exceptional care of both military and civilian casualties under combat conditions, Dr. Eidt was awarded the Bronze Star.
After completing his military service, Dr. Eidt relocated with his family to Southern California and joined South Orange County Orthopaedics as a partner, where he continues to practice today. He was also one of the early contributors to the development of the orthopaedic sports medicine community in the region, helping to expand access to specialized care for athletes and active individuals. Previously, he supported Trabuco Hills High School and JSerra Catholic High School in the same capacity.
