Michael Kenly, MD, is a compassionate pain management specialist at Alta Orthopaedics, with locations in Solvang, Santa Barbara, and Oxnard, California. Growing up in western Canada, Dr. Kenly has always felt a love for the outdoors. He believes that a fulfilling life is achieved by exploring and interacting with the world around us. Dr. Kenly completed his undergraduate degree in exercise and sport science at Brigham Young University in Oahu, Hawaii. His postgraduate training included an internship in internal medicine and residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Utah. His primary area of focus is pain that originates from the spine. He is able to utilize many different techniques to treat his patients’ pain. He is fellowship-trained in interventional spine care and fluoroscopically guided procedures, such as epidural steroid injections, medial branch neurotomy, spinal cord stimulation/neuromodulation, and other treatments to minimize the need for medications.
Dr. Kenly believes that the most important aspect of managing pain is for his patients to understand why they hurt and be actively involved in developing a treatment plan. He takes the necessary time to discuss the problems and the different treatment options. He also performs electrodiagnostic testing such as EMG and nerve conduction studies as needed to assist in making a diagnosis.

Dr. Silver has also trained as a medical acupuncturist and integrative medicine physician providing comprehensive, “whole patient” care for men and women in West LA, CA, and throughout the Greater Los Angeles metro area. With extensive training and experience in physical medicine and rehabilitation, pain management, osteopathy, craniopathy and acupuncture, Dr. Silver offers the most advanced treatment options to help each patient attain optimal health and wellness. Using state-of-the-art techniques and both traditional and alternative approaches, Dr. Silver helps patients understand the root causes of their pain and other symptoms so they can achieve symptoms relief in addition to improved overall health.
At his offices in West LA, and Sherman Oaks, Dr. Silver performs skilled, compassionate, patient-centered treatments based on each patient's individual health needs and goals, including therapeutic rehabilitative exercise, osteopathic manipulation, joint injections, trigger point injections, and platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections to help speed healing and recovery after disease or injury.
Board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Silver completed his osteopathic degree at Touro University California, followed by an internship in family medicine at Mills-Peninsula hospital and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at New York University Medical Center, as well as training in acupuncture at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Medical Center. Dedicated to continuing his knowledge and education in his specialty fields, Dr. Silver maintains active memberships in several professional societies, including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Academy of Osteopathy, The Osteopathic Cranial Academy and the American Osteopathic Association.
Dr. Silver welcomes new patients at his West LA and Sherman Oaks practices, and the practices accept most major forms of insurance, including Medicare.
