Dr. Friedlich was born in Los Angeles and moved back to California after completing his Neurosurgical Training at Albany, New York in 2007. His neurosurgical interests involve complex spine surgery, minimally invasive spine surgery, and brain tumor surgery.
Dr. Friedlich graduated from Dartmouth College with Honors in New Hampshire in 1994, and went on to graduate from Medical School and Neurosurgical Residency at Albany Medical Center. During his training, he was a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Scholar and a Neurogenetics Fellow sponsored by the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Friedlich is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and is a member of the AOA Honor Medical Society, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, and the Riverside Medical Association. He serves as a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee for the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation.
His hobbies include music composition and piano.
