On Monday I left a message requesting that an Rx refill for year's supply of minoxidil be sent to the Safeway pharmacy on San Antonio Road in Mountain View. I explicitly requested a return phone call confirming that the Rx had beeShow moren sent. I received no return phone call. On Tuesday morning I left a second message requesting a phone call confirming that the Rx had been sent. I received no phone call. On Tuesday mid-afternoon I spoke to Adriana. She told me that not one but TWO Rxs had been sent to the Safeway pharmacy. She told me that it is the policy of the practice not to confirm Rx orders. The Rx refill/procedure scheduling greeting clearly tells patients We will be calling you back just as soon as possible. The practice should honor explicit requests for a confirming return call. It also needs to change its Rx refill/procedure scheduling greeting so that patients are not mislead into expecting a callback. On the bright side, Adriana handled my third call expertly.
Dr Scott is an excellent cardiologist! For the first 2 yrs I saw him, he helped me reduce & stabilize my blood pressure. No more headaches, or feeling shaky! Now Dr Scott’s been working closely w/me the past 6 mo to get my #s bacShow morek in line, as for the 1st time in my 69yrs, I had several that were out of range/NOT good. He let me know in no uncertain terms what I needed to do & why. I appreciate him being very clear about the importance of having these values in range! And I especially value that he spends the time delineating how making specified changes in both diet & exercise will move things in the right direction for me to enjoy much better health. I respect his wealth of knowledge & therefore try hard to apply his directives.
Dr. Raabia Ahmad is originally from St. Louis, Missouri where she attended college at Washington University. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree, she attended medical school at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Dr. Ahmad then completed her residency and cardiology fellowship at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. After completing her medical training, she worked outside Boston in the Mass General Brigham system for 5 years before moving to the Bay Area in search of warmer weather. She joined Advanced Cardiovascular Specialists in 2021 and has built a successful practice during her short time here. She also has taken on several administrative roles including President of ACS and is the co-medical director for Heart Failure at El Camino Hospital.
Dr. Ahmad is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology. She has a special clinical interest in congestive heart failure, preventive cardiology, women’s heart disease, cardiac imaging, and valvular disease. She strives to connect with her patients on a personal level, educate them on their condition, and guide them in joint clinical decision making.
In her free time, Dr. Ahmad enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 young children, traveling, and cooking.

Heart broken that he is retiring, happy for him of course, but the loss of quality provided to patients and the field, is irreplaceable. Dr. Neal Scott is one of the very best in his field and I'm so glad I was a patient of his. He is a remarkable man who has nothing but excellence to provide. He will be sorely missed.

Dr. Neal Scott is an excellent doctor. He is both a brilliant doctor and a brilliant man. Dr. Scott saved my life a few times. That’s what he does, he saves the lives of his patients. I think there is no higher calling. Dr. Scott’s job is complex. And he is thoughtful, poised and compassionate.
Competent, listens to concerns, and takes necessary time to answer and explain his recommendations. Office and technician staff are excellent and run on time.

Amazing "bedside" manner. Dr. Scott makes me feel confident in about his recommendations and diagnosis. He listens well and I don't know i he keeps incredible notes or just has an amazing memory but he remembers things that came up in prior visits and how they relate to the current visit. He's a one-of-a-kind.
