Serpil (Sara) Turnbull RN, MSN, PMHNP is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Sara’s extensive nursing career and work experience began in the areas of Emergency Room (ER), Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the inpatient Psychiatric care unit at the Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center, in Columbia, Maryland. Her expertise comprises working with a variety of psychiatric conditions, including mood disorders, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia and psychotic disorders, substance-related and addictive disorders, and neurocognitive disorders. Sara completed her undergraduate degree in nursing from Howard Community College in 2016. She received scholastic awards and graduated with honors. She received her master’s in nursing (MSN), and Nurse Practitioner (NP) degree with honors from Walden University. She is passionate about providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services to new as well as established patients. “As a family Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I have been trained to treat the family as a “whole”. I follow evidence-based guidelines blended with clinical experience, personal observation, and intuition to assess, diagnose, and treat my patients”.
Kimberly Lim graduated with honorable mention for her double undergraduate degrees in Biology at the Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines and later in Nursing. Soon after, she pursued her masters degree in nursing at Bowie State university where she focused on family practice. Kimberly is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with several years of nursing experience behind her. She has worked in the field of psychiatry in both inpatient and outpatient settings dealing with patients suffering from depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Kimberly sees patients ranging from young adults to the geriatric population. She currently provides consulting work at Holy Cross Hospital in Germantown and has been with Innovative Psychiatry since 2017.
Madison Kutzera is a board-certified Physician Assistant, originally from Maryland. She received her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant from Radford University Carilion in Roanoke, Virginia. Madison received her undergraduate degree from University of Maryland in Public Health Science. She previously worked as a Therapeutic Support Staff doing applied behavioral analysis therapy with pediatric clients before attending PA school. Madison is excited to be a part of the team at Innovative Psychiatry and to provide high quality, compassionate care to all her patients.
Ms. Antwi has over 7 years’ experience in nursing that include medical surgical, correctional and psychiatric/mental health nursing. Her psychiatric experience includes providing services in psychiatric emergency rooms, inpatient populations and with incarcerated individuals. This work has helped her to develop her perspective on the challenges individual face, and how she can best engage patients/ clients in wellness care. Ms. Antwi attended the University of Rhode Island where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and later attended Walden University for her Master of Science in Nursing and certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Her goal is to encourage each patient to take care of their mental health by discussing it in a way that eliminates the stigma attached to seeking help. Her mission is to provide quality care in a collaborative, supportive, and judgment-free environment.

Anissa Salerno PMHNP-BC MEDICATES and DIAGNOSIS- ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, and Schizophrenic Spectrum Disorders. Her approach to care recognizes that every patient is unique and should be treated as such. Anissa provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management with special attention to individual needs, including to each patient’s personal history, his or her specific context, stressful or traumatic life experiences or circumstances, each patient’s particular concerns about, or fears of medications. All of which she approaches with patience, warmth, understanding, and helpful explanations that facilitate treatment and the patient’s sense of comfort and trust. She approaches treatment from a nonjudgmental space allowing the professional relationship to develop. This approach is successful in meeting the needs and desired outcomes of each individual client. Anissa’s primary focus is providing honest communication in a judgement free environment.
