I graduated with my Associate Degree in Nursing from Roane State Community College in 2013, while working as a nursing assistant St. Mary's in Knoxville, TN. I took my first RN position on a combined medical/surgical and palliative care floor at Blount Memorial shortly after graduation. From there, I moved to a local gastroenterology clinic and also worked as an injection training nurse, traveling to clients' homes to teach them how to self-administer specialty medications. I obtained both my Bachelors (2016) and Masters (2019) degrees from King University while continuing to work at the GI clinic. I joined the Maynardville Express Care family in December 2024 after working in primary care at a local FQHC caring for underserved populations and within the Covenant Health system in palliative care. I am also dually-trained and previously worked in dental health.
After graduating from Lincoln Memorial University I started my nursing career on a medical surgical floor and later obtained experience in other fields including the public school setting, home health, ICU, and emergency department. After a little over 10 years of nursing experience I earned a Master's degree from King University. I am genuinely humbled to be serving the people of this area that I have grown to love.
“I've been coming to my doctor for a couple of years now and I absolutely 💯 recommend her to all because she has changed my life so much I can't express enough I thank God for her.”

With a career beginning in Critical Care, I have always enjoyed acute care in a fast paced setting. Upon completion of a Master's Degree in Nursing from East Tennessee State University, I enjoyed 6 rewarding years of primary care.
Patients are key, the most important thing in this business. I love to build relationships with my patients. Listening to the patients, a simple hug, or a handshake can make all the difference in the day for both the provider and patient.
In this county, my goal was to provide a new approach to health care. A new resource, something we see in surrounding areas already. An urgent care only setting with walk-in and appointment availability. Quick, walk-in, convenient care at optimal times, all with that hometown environment and a friendly, familiar face.
“Amanda is so wonderful at her job. I have a lot of health problems and she always takes the time to thoroughly check and care for everything going on. She’s brilliant and I would trust her with any health issue I have going on. I would recommend her to anyone. She truly cares for her patients and gives them her all. ”
With a career beginning in medical surgery, I have overall encompassed 15 years in the medical field. I have experience in hospice care, family medicine, and women's health. I completed my Masters of Science in Nursing from King University. I have been dedicated to Primary care for over 10 years.
I started in Urgent care with the goal of helping patients feel better and having walk in appointments. I enjoy learning about different patients, and can never meet a stranger. Being a patient advocate is the best job to have and I find this job one of the most rewarding.
This is my hometown, and I am excited to be close to home providing care to those in this county.
I have been practicing nursing since 2011 with a career beginning in pediatrics. I completed my masters at LMU in 2013 and began working as a NP in pediatric GI before transferring into acute episodic care starting in 2014. I am so grateful to now be serving my community that I have been apart of my entire life. I strive to provide patient- centered quality care in a caring therapeutic environment.
