A San Jose native, Dr. Mendoza received his bachelor's and master’s degrees in biology from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. Dr. Prat earned his professional degree at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco in 1985. Dr. Prat received advanced training by completing a general practice residency at Veterans Administration Hospital in Miami. After his residency, he maintained a private practice in Hollywood, Florida, for five years.

To broaden his practice, Dr. Prat went on to earn his credentials for Dental Implantology from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston. In 1990, Dr. Prat returned to Oakland, bringing his extensive training to patients in the community.

Growing up, Dr. Constant worked for her father, Dr. David Constant, but it wasn't until she worked for a dentist in San Luis Obispo that she solidified her passion for becoming an orthodontist.
