Dr. Shabnam graduated with honors from the Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi, Pakistan, in 1996. She moved to the United States and completed her family medicine training at the Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York City, affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical College. Through this residency, Dr. Shabnam served as chief resident.
Post-residency, Dr. Shabnam moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area and has been working in private practice since 2005. Sonia Kirkpatrick, MBA, is the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of PediaPlex, the leading diagnostic and therapeutic center in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, area. With offices in Southlake, Fort Worth, and Frisco, Texas, the team at PediaPlex evaluates, diagnoses, and treats children with developmental disabilities.
Sonia was inspired by her daughter to create PediaPlex after she was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome and ADHD coupled with dyspraxia. It took years of multiple evaluations, consultations, and referrals across the country before her daughter was finally diagnosed.
From this highly personal journey, Sonia developed a vision for a clinic where a child could be evaluated and treated by a multidisciplinary team of professionals in a single, collaborative location. Thus, the concept for PediaPlex was born.
Sonia spent years researching the types of specialists necessary to help diagnose and treat children with these challenges. In doing so, she finely tuned her business plan for PediaPlex while completing her master’s in business administration (MBA) at the University of Dallas. She also became deeply entrenched in the pediatric behavioral health community in North Texas.

Prior to PediaPlex, she spent over 20 years in accounting and finance positions at companies such as Nokia, CSF, Automation Resources, and The North American Coal Corporation. Her most recent role as director of global operational excellence, strategy, and projects at Nokia provided valuable experience in understanding the importance of financial rigor applied to any business, including medical offices.
Sonia currently serves on the Advisory Board for the University of Dallas and has been the alumni speaker at several of the university’s commencement ceremonies for graduate programs.

Misty Stasney is the owner and resident family nurse practitioner at the JM Family Wellness Center. She has more than 20 years experience in the medical field, beginning her career as a phlebotomist and has continued to work her way through the progression of CNA, LVN, ADN RN, BSN RN, MSN RN, MSN APRN FNP-C, and finally, she received her DNP from TCU in May 2020 with honors.
She has worked in med surg, cath lab, cardiac and neuro units, emergency department, and as a Family Nurse Practitioner for the past 4 years. She is a resident of Burleson.

Lori Faglie is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner born and raised in Prince Edward Island, Canada. She completed nursing school at P.E.I School of nursing and moved to Arlington, Texas to begin her nursing career. Lori has worked in various inpatient and outpatient settings over the past 28 years. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing in 2018. Her passion for nursing and the drive to continue her education led her to pursue her master’s degree in Nursing from University of Texas at Arlington, graduating as a Nurse Practitioner in 2021. Lori and her husband Blaine got married in 1998 and moved to Brock, TX to raise their family.
